I bought a new used car recently. It gets 53mpg/city and 58 mpg/hwy. I've never been one to talk about my car before, but unfortunately this one is special. I say unfortunately because the possibility exists to make this car the norm. Obviously we need to find alternative ways of getting ourselves around, and no amount of burned gas is good for the environment. But check this out, my Geo was made back in 1989! Imagine how much less gas would be burned if we in America were using technologies that already exist! The photo is of the original paper that came in the window. What happened? How many cars get that kind of mileage these days? Anything new that comes close costs more than $20,000! I paid $1000. The movie "Who killed the Electric car?" really proves that the oil companies are only interested in their profits and keeping us addicted to more and more oil, to the point of silencing alternative technologies, and brainwashing us to believe we need big powerful gas guzzling cars. It's really upsetting to me when I see how power and money hungry corporations, lobbyists, and politicians can have so much destructive influence on us, and this beautiful planet.
