Mike saved my life, seriously, 1988 Anarchist Gathering in Toronto, as a policeman desended with his night stick drawn, from his horse, with the idea of cracking my beautiful face open, Mike grabbed me by my shirt and bra strap (he's always trying to cop a feel.LOL) and pulled me away just in time. I don't think I have ever thanked you. Thank You! Also thank you for your helpfulnes & attention at the Peace March reunion in Va. how was it to be in service of the Goddess?

I emigrated to the states when I was 13 from Iran, to LA of course where most Iranians immigrate to. I am a jew who spent six years in muslim school. I spent many years working as a counselor for SF mental health, but now I teach martial arts and spend much of the rest of my time with a wide variety of political projects. I am vegan (except that I consider anything chocolate or anything touching chocolate to be vegan) and an anarchist, but not dogmatic. I live above our dojo with my 5 wonderful housemates( see fred and rebecca under friends). I have been in poly relationships for the last 18 years and continue to learn much. I am busy, but learning to be less so.

What can I say about Mike E, except that I don't know where I'd be without his presence in my life. One of my many soul mates, he fits into the terrain of my heart like a puzzle piece. In the 20 years we've known one another things have looked a variety of ways between us, and we're both always able to trust in the changes, and in the underlying ground that is unchanging. I love the man. Brother, lover, friend. Through all the heartbreak and ecstacy it remains. I still pay some bit of penance for having been a self-centered twit and making bad choices when i was younger, but at least Mike doesn't hold all that against me. Too much...;-)

Always a friend. We've been through some crazy days since '88 or so. He's grounded, steady & ready: moving forward with strength, grace & determination. Kinda like Manjushuri, a side of Buddha, cutting thru nonsense with a knife, to attain greater knowledge...and in Mike E's case, fun in all ways possible!

That was a truly excellent workshop. You made the other students feel really comfortable and safe, and we all learned a lot of valuable skills that we can use right away. You three worked really well with each other to be awesome facilitators. The other students and I all feel much more confident about our ability to defend ourselves and each other.
