The company I am involved with is called MXI. They have a unique and timely product: Healthy Chocolate. Let me explain why it is so unique.

Chocolate is a product that always manages to get attention because so many people enjoy it. There have been recent revelations about the health benefits of dark chocolate; it is all over the news. It turns out the cocoa bean is the highest antioxidant food on the planet, higher than any other fruit or vegetable. With all the talk about the importance of antioxidants, this is a big deal. The challenge is it takes heat to turn the cocoa bean into chocolate. The heat manages to destroy many of the antioxidants, flavonoids and phyto-nutrients in the cocoa bean.

MXI has found a way around the heat. They have a healthy, rich, dark Belgian chocolate that is processed using a patented cold processing technology. They have secured the world wide exclusive rights to this unique patented chocolate. It has no fillers, caffeine, waxes, refined sugars or bad fats. And it tastes absolutely delicious.

Raw unprocessed cacao is getting so much attention because of its natural anti-inflammatory properties. The catechins and epicatechins in chocolate have been associated with lowering blood pressure and cholesterol, strengthening the blood vessels as well as other cardiovascular breakthroughs. The other properties in cocoa have been known to help diabetes, depression, macular degeneration, etc.

I was attracted to this product because I love chocolate and at the same time, everything about it, from a business standpoint, made so much sense.

First of all, the demographics: It turns out that 9 out of 10 people crave chocolate, 50% can not live without it and the average American eats 12lbs. per year (18lbs. in the UK). I cannot think of another product that comes close to these demographics. In fact, the most expensive real estate in retail is the check-out counter. Hence, you will find chocolate and magazines. As a business person this not only spoke volumes toward repeat users but also toward massive interest.

Second, as a network marketer, I could see the simplicity in explanation. After all, it’s chocolate, how much explanation is needed? For the first time I could avoid the stall that happens in most organizations because of the need for a long lengthy explanation of the power of the product, why it is good for you, why you need to stay on it or the necessity for extensive training to get and keep distributors. Plus there is no need to wait for weeks or months for a distributor or customer to feel results (if you can constantly sell them to stay on it that long).

Third, because 90% of your distributors will have little or no network marketing experience, I wanted a product that would appeal to them. Because it is chocolate, I am not changing their habits by asking them to talk about and consume something they are not already consuming on a regular basis. Nine out of 10 people are going to consume chocolate no matter what; whether it is good for them or not. A nugget of chocolate equals the antioxidant level of ½ pound of spinach. An ounce of the chocolate beverage equals a pound of broccoli. The antioxidant ORAC value is 9 to10 times higher than a similar ounce of Goji, Noni or Xango. People will eat chocolate over taking pills, potions and functional beverages any day. This product is so delicious, it is easy to talk about, sample and because it is healthy (the highest antioxidant levels out there), why wouldn’t people switch chocolate brands?

Finally, the compensation plan is very rewarding and global expansion is wide open. The company’s top earner has already made over $1 million and the company just turned 3 years old. What I found more important is not the usual MLM hype but the fact that new distributors, like myself, can make $200 in bonuses their first week. I know because I did. And I did not have such a fantastic start!

I am building a great team here in the US. Canada is off to a fantastic start. The company is in Japan and shipping to Australia and New Zealand. Pre-launch activities have started now in the UK where we already have a team started. We have no territories. We can prospect in any of these countries.
