I love to expereince life, sometimes I have a hard time slowing down but I still enjoy getting out and doing stuff.
So, I finally decided to go with Nadira as my Bellydance name... means "unique"... appropriate huh
I was fortunate enough to get to spend the evening with Rhonda, Haley, Joy and Jane. We hung out and had a blast, fried chicken and steak along with some awesome cupcakes and a fabulous cheese ball. Anyways, thanks to you ladies that came and shame on you those that didn't. You missed an awesome time. I leave for Houston on Sunday and then off to Iraq the week after. I knew I had had a shitty attitude over the last couple weeks but I don't think I realized how much it's been bleeding into my life. I need to apologize to everyone I've had contact with that I've been shitty too. My negativeness is no excuse for me to be so mean and rude. Well, I finally did it, took my first drumming workshop. It was AWESOME... Joe and Susan set it up in three days, I learned how to hold and play my drum and even got pretty comfortable with the beats. Not that I'm great or can play with speed... the next goal, work on the drum solo. I get to perform it for beledi beat!!! So Joe, god bless his soul, is going to help me learn it, what a saint. Well, here i am with a pseudo day off. I've been sitting around doing schoolwork and generally goofing off and now i have time to do whatever. I thought I would write in here and then maybe work in my garage (wow, there was a time when i thought that was punishment not a good time!).
