Drumming practice @ Burlington Commons

Memorial day. No plans but sleeping late after a gig last night and then going out to drum on a beautiful day.
After days of (thankfully) being busy, I've been burning the candles at both ends. Before my gig last night at the Lizard Lounge, I was so tired. True to form, once I started playing, I came to life and rocked. Folks after had lots of nice things to say, it was a great night.
Today, I didn't want to deal with the phone, do business, nothing.... Drumming in Burlington (my home town) on a day like today is so peaceful. I brought my new clay drum and had a great practice. I still look sleepy!

What better day to sound the rhythms and power of the Drum, the lifeforce energie, just as profound as the human heart. I like the think that when another is touching the naked skin of the Drum in rhythmic beat connects us all on a vibration around the Globe...
