<div>I learned something about my daughter this past week. We are not as much alike as I thought.

She speaks logic.

I am a completely overly emotional being who now lives with two logic speaking people.
Do you pity me or them?

What I do know is my daughter is on a fast track course to being a classic "geek". </div>

    </a>
<div>Has anyone ever watched the movie or read the book "The Secret"? I have the book and although I truly believe the power of positive thinking, the book came off like a cheap marketing ploy.

My new boss mentioned the movie yesterday at work and told me that every thing she ever really wanted, she has received through the power of positive thinking. All you have to do is *order* the universe to give you what you want.

Well, I want my daughter back! NOW!

I moved back East wih the intention of moving her out here when school ended. I made a huge mistake..the biggest one of my life. Her father has now filed full custody and has already been granted temporary custody, all because I moved out of state. I won't get into all the reasons why he shouldn't have her...I'm doing that right now for the lawyer. For those who know me well enough, you would already know.

So, now its out in the universe. I can't think of another way but through the online world to make this clearer and any louder!

Maybe if I ask everyone to order the universe as well, with me..then the universe can't possibly miss the message.
Afterall, not even logic and the obvious is good enough sometimes.

What's the phrase?

<a href="http://people.tribe.net/a996ac7b-7a06-4d70-9f78-e39a29c686a0/blog/1a11df41-9e63-44bf-a751-ed0774f0ef3b"> <img class=" picThumb" src="http://images.tribe.net/tribe/upload/photo/55d/eff/55deff39-3d40-478c-b886-4ae3ad255db2.thumb" width="65" height="48" alt="" />
    </a>
<div>In the middle of moving and cleaning out my house and the process has produced a mountain of trash bags that I piled to the curb yesterday afternoon for pickup this very morning. I even called the trash company to warn them that an extra truck might be needed!

My neighborhood is quiet. My poor daughter has no friends to play with, or so I thought. In Nebraska (I swear by this) kids aren't allowed outside to play. I didn't even know there were kids in the neighborhood for her to play with. I was wrong!

At about 6pm..a swarm of kids ended up on my front lawn tearing through the 50 plus garbage bags of junk I had neatly put to the curbside. I walked out onto the porch to see them stash their loot under their arms, into their backpacks (how did they know?) and other bags they had brought with them. Being pretty sore and exhausted from the past few days, I yelled out them. THey had broken every trash bag and scattered all the trash all over my yard. I made them clean it up but the damage was already done. They flew away on their bikes, all excited to carry away my junk. I admit, the load is significantly lighter. They even took a half cat eaten fake tree..wtf? I can image what their mother's reaction is when the kid brings that home! Maybe I should drive through the neighborhood to find that tree in their trash..trust me, it was not a keeper.

I believe it was 14 kids I counted! All from the ages of about 4-12. All potential playmates for my kid. NOT!
Golly..I'm still mad as hell!

What is that phrase when they come out of the woodwork? Or is there a name for baby trashpickers??</div>

<div>I am looking for anyone in the Nebraska area who would like to adopt an adult kitty.

I have five to offer to a good home.

Big Red- 3 years, big orange male, short hair tabby, front declawed and neutered, extremely laid back but does love to be brushed and loves to borrow his head in your lap. Not needy.

Jub Jub- 3 year old tortoise shell, tiny little female, beautiful marking, very gentle and a bit shy. Fixed but still has all claws. She loves to roll up in a ball and cuddle.

Willow- 2 year old, all white long hair male, fixed, still has all his claws. He is the rascal of the bunch, full of personality, loves attention, sleeps in the tub and loves to play.

Eistein- 2 year old short hair orange tabby, big guy as well, quiet, fixed, all claws still, he would be ideal for an only pet home. He is very particular about where he eats and does his business.

Squeeker- 2 year old long haired orange male, fixed, has all claws, not able to tolerate any future surgical procedures (so he should not be declawed!!!!) Very talkative, you can have conversations with him, very loving and sooo cute. Loves to cuddle or sit anywhere near you.

If anyone would be interested..please PM ASAP! They are free as long as you can give them love and a good home. </div>

<div>While fumbling around the internet this morning, I came across a webpage that has compiled a couple hundred "generators". I personally was fascinated with the Catbert Review Generator.

http://ceslava.com/blog/the-generator-blogs-generadores-online-y-de-escritorio

Seems the LOTR series is required study in mingling with fellow Pittsburgh-ians, I am sad no Elvish or Hobbit name generator is on the list. It might help my social status living amongst "geeks".
Psst..I just finished The Hobbit for the first time.

http://www.myprecious.us/name_generator.php

Ahhh..I did find one though! If I was a Dwarf, my name would be Alaera Elf-Friend, which would be very close to my daughter's name. Maybe I'm "geek chic" afterall!</div>

<div>Had to fly back for a few days to get my car..as well as things that I have discovered have some value to me. Of course once I leave, it's sunny and spring time in PA..go figure. I feel like that moment when there is a tornado..you grab the people and things you want and run, at least that is what I think about when I'm bored. How much of your life can you jam into a little car?
Where in the heck am I going to put it anyway? Oh and so many things that make me wonder..how the hell did I get that or why on earth do I keep this? The stuff that works in one place but won't fit into the next. I think eventually people will be getting some nice X-mas gifts from me. </div>

<div>Made it to PA.

I have watched more TV in the past 5 days than I have in the past 5 years.
I only wake up a few times now in the middle of the night.
I actually sat down and watched the casting special of Flavor of Love 3 and I laughed till I cried!
I literally talked out loud to a cat yesterday... the little thing just follows you around and listens.
Been out here one day and already my brother p*ssed me off! Hahaha..welcome back...JT!
and I have never in my entire life eaten so well.

The really cool thing is my mother calls and says..driving up Friday to see you! Take you shopping..go see your sister, have breakfast with the niece. Don't hear that living 1000 miles away from any family.

It's snowing in Nebraska right now. My daughter is sick, my car(back home) in my driveway has a flat tire.

I still worry about these things..but today I don't have to fix them.

    </a>
										<div>I DID IT!!

Well, I didn't exactly leave my job...but I did take a leave of absence. Not exactly by choice either. It was handed to me on a silver platter.
The details are still in the works and I will know more by tonight.

So for those of you who don't know me too well..this is quite the surprise for me...although for those who have to listen to my work stories every day, they saw this coming a while back. I was just born without that gene that tells the person when to throw in the towel. Even now..I didn't hand in my resignation..probably should of. The possible thought of never walking through those doors again gives me a thrill I never imagined..why didn't I think of this before?

So my plans..I think it's now safe to say. I hop on a plane Friday and go have some fun in Pittsburgh.

And if I'm too much trouble in Pittsburgh...I guess it's off to Annapolis.</div>

    </a>
<div>Got to visit the great city of Pittsburgh last weekend and all its beautiful houses and interesting bridges and buildings. I was told this week by Leah, she was waiting for my blog about my trip. It's taking me a whole week to process everything so I'll give a few highlights.

Let's see..things I got to do...

1. I got lost in the airport..became confused by the tram and enjoyed the graphics on the floor (my neice's husband made them)
2. I ate french fries with gravy at Eat N Park...my great grandfather's favorite thing in life.
3. Ate lots and lots of great food..tried some new things and managed NOT to eat sushi.
4. Discovered interesting and fascinating things like dancing squirrels and furry conventions. ::gasps::
5. Took a walk in a cemetary and totally misunderstood the sign on the big incense burner (not sure what you would call this) in the Japanese section. I attached a nice pic! Maybe someone will get what was in my head at that moment.
6. People in Pittsburgh must like ice cream!
7. Got to see my new great nephew while he was still a baby!
8. Got to visit with my sister and my neices.
9. Got to hang out and watch movies and you tube videos with some Khafifers..who gave me some education on the world beyond the borders of Nebraska.
10. Got to spend 4 awesome days with an INTP who talks with a funny accent, never stops smiling and drinks an incredible amount of tea.
Oh..and really, really likes the color blue..hahaha.

Ok..back to reality.</div>

<div>I pop on tribe this afternoon and a big yellow window asks me if I want to subscribe to tribe for a premium membership. Tribe is still free but I can go ahead and still pay for premium service yet premium serice is yet to be determined. They'll let me know in the future.

Oh and I can also adopt an orphan...that is cute. I can ONLY pay via PayPal. No thank you. I trust my boss more than Paypal.

I am willing to pay to support but I think most people (like myself) would like to know what we are paying for. If you just want $5, ask me to donate. Then I'd feel like I am doing a good deed instead of being scammed.

If you were in Nebraska, people would be calling the Attorney Generals Office on you..cause uhmm thats what they do here.

<a href="http://people.tribe.net/a996ac7b-7a06-4d70-9f78-e39a29c686a0/blog/94897f8d-520a-48c2-901e-78a4247bcc3c"> <img class=" picThumb" src="http://images.tribe.net/tribe/upload/photo/045/5f2/0455f2f3-3cc4-4403-9a9f-8be15d1b6ea1.thumb" width="65" height="62" alt="" />
    </a>
<div>Big Items this year folks...everyone NEEDS a GPS system. My brother brought his big expensive GPS when he came to visit last May. He was living in Annnapolis at the time and it kept telling him to take Hwy 301 East or something to the Bay Bridge while in Nebraska.
So I gave him that ancient piece of art I keep in my car. It's called a map. I believe he spent close to 1000 on that thing. I spent $15.

LCD? Plasma TV..disposable in my opinion. You'll be crying in your bank account if you DON'T buy the extended warranty on those buggers.

MP3 players. I own one..but I keep asking my tech guys why in the hell can't I get a memory card for it. It kinda frustrates me when I have to delete to add new music or buy a bigger player. Maybe this exists. Educate me, please. Although I was bugging over the inconvience of not being able to use it in my car. To my surprise and delight, you can and the existing cable on the market costs me another $50..and we sell it!

Now the pink laptop?? I don't know. You can get the same thing a lot cheaper in black. You can deck it out with some rhinestones or glitter glue, whatever.

We have a pink digital camera..an elph model. I hate that F*cking thing. Everyone grabs for it and yanks the security system and sets of the alarm. Sometimes, (I'm guilty myself) you will walk in the sales office in the morning, only to find that pink camera laying on the desk. You can only tolerate resetting the alarms about 50 max in a day!
Pink?

I was at the store by 3:30am. No line. Two cars waiting in the parking lot. It was 5 below hell, so I don't blame them. Then I chuckled to see the die hards over at Best Buy in their tents. The line was formed backwards this year which I hear caused a lot of commotion with the side business next door. They opened an hour earlier than us..which is better! Gives people HOPE! So buy 5:30am, we were watching people run across the street to us. Penney's &amp; Kohl's opened at 4am. They were warmed up and feeling good!

The best part of this ordeal..if there is one, is watching the Black Friday newbies. The young kids who grew up in bumf*ck somewhere, Nebraska..move to Lincoln, go to UNL and get a job. In Retail! They have no idea. I had quite a few newbies this year. Watching their face as the door opens is priceless! A few years ago.. I almost had a young one faint. It scared the jeebies out of her! It is an adreneline rush really. You have a mob of hundreds of people in an instant flying at you. It is scary and the hardest part is how you control this mob. The whole weeks prep is crowd control. Items are placed exactly right, tickets are handed out, the labyrinth is mapped out for lines..really for yours and my safety. Then shrink is the next issue. Then sales.

It was the biggest crowd yet this year. We had record sales and I believe only one guy pooped his pancreas when he discovered he came a few hours too late. The mob was feeling successful today and I truly believe it was how the store hours fell this year. It is usually ugly. All stores opening at the same time gives people less opportunity to score.

Then the game started. I have no idea.

No pics this year..I brought the camera and gave it to the crew but I had filled the memory card from Tribal Dreams and there was no time to dump it.

So I hope everyone scored big!

<div>Tis my least favorite week of the year. While all of you are about making yummy treats, thawing turkeys; I'm bouncing off the walls, flipping through ads, checking emails from corporate, sifting through 50 pallets of crap that everyone thinks is a "good deal". Well there is one item this year that might trip your trigger. Who knows. It's now almost 1pm and I still can't print ad sign for Friday. I've already been harassed by two gentlemen over tax exempt laws and a lady calling the Attorney General's office on me because she wants the same price of an item that we are advertising for Black Friday. I guess she thought it was a clever way to beat the crowd. Across the street is Best Buy. A big truck with a crane is in their parking lot and also what looks to be six port-a-potties. Whoa..nice. I laugh to think people will be camping out here soon and its snowing! Is it really worth it? Maybe not to me, I don't particulary like sleeping outdoors in 20 degree weather. This year I plan on bringing my camera.

Oh well..go shop. If you don't, the economy will collapse.

So through the muck, I received an email. It changed my day and I now speak with a German Accent. It has amused me immensely.

The European commission has just announced an agreement whereby English will be the official language of the European Union rather than German, which was the other possibility.
As part of the negotiations, the British Government conceded that English spelling had some room for improvement and has accepted a 5- year phase-in plan that would become known as "Euro-English".

In the first year, "s" will replace the soft "c".
Sertainly, this will make the sivil servants jump with joy.
The hard "c" will be dropped in favour of "k". This should klear up konfusion, and keyboards kan have one less letter.

There will be growing publik enthusiasm in the sekond year when the troublesome "ph" will be replaced with "f". This will make words like fotograf 20% shorter.

In the 3rd year, publik akseptanse of the new spelling kan be expekted to reach the stage where more komplikated changes are possible.
Governments will enkourage the removal of double letters which have always ben a deterent to akurate speling.
Also, al wil agre that the horibl mes of the silent "e" in the languag is disgrasful and it should go away.

By the 4th yer people wil be reseptiv to steps such as replasing "th" with "z" and "w" with "v".

During ze fifz yer, ze unesesary "o" kan be dropd from vords kontaining "ou" and after ziz fifz yer, ve vil hav a reil sensibl riten styl.

Zer vil be no mor trubl or difikultis and evrivun vil find it ezi tu understand ech oza. Ze drem of a united urop vil finali kum tru. Und efter ze fifz yer, ve vil al be speking German like zey vunted in zeforst plas.

<div>I just caught up on my emails and I occasionally get these little horoscopes. But only on special days when the cosmos have to really prepare me for something special or even unexpected. Shits and giggles.

Transiting Venus Conjunct Natal Pluto

TRANSFORMING RELATIONSHIP
The emotional sensitivity of Venus combined with the powerful influences of Pluto intensifies love experiences. From deepening desire to self-doubt and jealousy, from wanting more from a partner to giving up on a relationship, expect extreme feelings now. You could be looking for escape from life through obsessive love. You need to be careful with the intensity if you are in a relationship, for you could send out the message that you are unhappy with things as they are. Avoid using love to manipulate your partner. Pluto will not support purely selfish efforts. This transit can bring a transformational experience, if you focus on core values and are willing to let go of the rest.

By golly, I was feeling the love..but I believe I distributed it all quite evenly among others. If you feel overwhelmed..I have this great excuse.
It only got worse on Saturday.</div>
