about me
I started belly dancing in the middle of the seventies and was totally entralled and obsessed with it. Raising a family, working full time as a secretary I managed to learn, then teach it at the college , the YWCA and some other facilities. I also made a ton of money doing belly grams from the 80;s thru the 90;s I finally gave this up to run my flower shop which it was called "Babooka's Pleasnt Grove Florist. We had a beautiful 2,000 square foot flower shop that was built in 1997 and then I was diagnosed with Papillary Serous Endometrious Adecarinoma Stage 4. This cancer was supposed to kill me in the year 2000, but God was with me and has kept me alive and it is now 2009. I hate the word cancer! I had three recurrences and finally had to retired....I was so tired and worn out by chemos, radiations, the side effects etc.. God kept me alive so that I could see my 3 grandgirls, He made me hang in longer to take care of my crippled husband who had throat cancer in 2006. Whee.....then I have 6 dogs and 4 birds that keeps me going!!!
