about me
I am Imma to my three blessings, wife to my husband, a dreamer of dreams and maker of my home. I have homeschooled now for about 12 years and it is our way of life. I am a preschool techer, doula, childbirth advocate, Jill-of- all-trades, Mistress of none. I am a gypsy who has lived many places and been many people. I have done and been so much in this lifetime I wonder that I lived any past lives or maybe I was just really bored then and determined not to make at least that same mistake this time around. I am hoping I get it right this time around so I won't have to come back. I love to empower women and help them to see how absolutely amazing and capable they are! I have many interests and have delved into them all. I love to tell stories, learn, think, do henna, spin fiber, and weave. I aspire to someday grow up and become a local village Wise Woman.

and so am I. Mysterious and hidden, not really even there shrouded by the darkness, deep at rest. The Moon is waxing and so am I. Slowly coming forward timidly at first Then growing brighter and brighter, casting you a shadow even on the darkess of nights. The Moon is full, and so am I. Shining so brightly you admire her beauty and bask in her light, for just a short while, because gradually she will go away. The Moon is waning and so am I. Slow... read more
This question was asked in the tribe "bellydancers w/o training'. I was surpirsed I waxed so poetic in my answer and I wanted to post it here so I do not forget this in the future.

The first spindle I ever bought was this turkish spindle. That was six or seven years ago and I never quite got the hang of it. I bought other ones and I kept trying, finding them much easier than the turkish. Well, I don't know how it happened but I finally got it! I won the battle of the turkish spindle and I can tell you I LOVE IT! It spins forever! I cannot believe it took me so long to figure it out. I think the lack of hook intimidated me...not sure what the block w... read more

So I entered the Tent yesterday and one of my new traditions is to give myself a henna when my moon is full. I have falling madly in love with doing henna and it my way of pampering myself. When I feel the need to relax, reconnect, be at peace, I henna. I love henna and everything about it. I love the way it smells and the way it feels. I love that as soon as I start I have an incredible sense of well being. I love the femininity of it. How it flows from the bottle gently laying on my hand pr...
