A "knowing" of the sparseness of winter, the months of enduring cold and searching for food..But I revel in the delicate wistfulness, the longing for the past and its memories. Probably because in this mod... read more

Kern County Fair- 2007 (blog entry) Well, even the threat of rain, loss of power or tiny stages could not dampen the spirits of the belly dancers at the fair. It all seemed to go well and everyone danced to their hearts content! Lots of variety, pretty costumes, and great music. Wha... read more

Ripples of pain in the circle of life (blog entry) This past Sunday....in the cool, late afternoon, in a hospital in Santa Barbara, my stepson Josh passed away. His dad and his sister and his mom and some friends were there. I had just gotten back home after spending a week and a half there, when ... read more
