For the better part of the last thirty years - since I was a teenager, actually - I have 'hovered around the campfire' of people tasked with introducing the Sufi Way to the West. I have had the good fortune to associate with Bulent Rauf (perhaps most famous as Reshad Feild's master, 'Hamid', in 'The Last Barrier') and Idries Shah (although I only met him a few times, I was a student of his work from 1979 until his passing over in 1996). I first encountered my master in Italy in 1996 without knowing who he was. It took me seven years to 'reconnect' with him.

I have a work related blog, Transforming Communication (transformingcommunication.blogspot.com), which is an attempt to introduce some new ideas into the field of communication.
