Thank you to everyone who came out to our end of the semester show at ECPAC. We had a good turnout and some fabulous performances. Special thanks to Sene Africa, The Black Storytellers, and the MLKjr Choir for adding their amazing talents to our show!

My next show is with the Grossmont Afro-Cuban Ensemble and Combo at Cuyamaca College. We and the Valhalla HS Jazz Band are providing a FREE show to the community. Please come out and support the arts in San Diego.

So I have made a new bellydance friend here in VA. Chandani owns a belly dance studio up in the north part of Virginia Beach. It was right around the corner from a restaurant someone recommended to me. It is a nicely appointed studio and they have merchandise and music for sale. So, here I am in Virginia Beach, VA, when I noticed, "Gee, I never put anything in my blog." Well I have decided to try and remedy that. So I got here yesterday and am in the process of looking for anything cool to do or see while I am over here. I'll let you know what, if anything develops...

I had to work late tonight, so I got to the party at the end but still had a good time. I brought my newly purchased big, bad ass djembe into the mix. I thought it went really well but I really want to take some formal lessons so I feel like I know what I am doing.
