I have never met anyone quite like my Cassy-gurl.

She is fierce and bold. She is wild and tart. With those big blue eyes, and that great big heart!

I love her so much. When I first met her, I remember thinking that I wanted to be her friend. She was kind of distant at first. Kind of like in the "Little Prince" where the fox keeps his distance and yet tells the hunter that he must tame the fox by coming by a little bit each day around the same time. I think that maybe I "tamed" her, not tame like I made her settle down, just that we got to know each other and now she is not distant, but a dear, dear friend.

I am inspired by her in so many ways. She has heart and gives her all. She might get scared about things, but she fights anyway. She will get in your face if she thinks she needs to, but in the next instant, she is right there to hug you, lift you up. She makes me laugh. She makes me think.

I love her enthusiasm, her drive, her compassion, the little freckles around her mouth. Her generosity of spirit. Her kookiness. I hope that we always remain friends.
