Traveling to Istanbul, and the Magic of MayFireMon, April 14, 2008 - 6:37 AM
Breathing quietly into this moment... with an open heart and a soft belly... watching the sun come up over the mountains in the desert, from Gate 42 in McCarren airport. I'm waiting now to board my flight to NYC, and then on to Istanbul, Turkey, where I'll be joining Jeff. He's been away for two weeks, in England, where he was performing and teaching with our mentor, Eugene. Now, I'm going to see my beloved husband, and we'll do shows all this week in Turkey, along with several magician-friends of ours. The show is called Magic Stars, and it should be fun. I'm hoping to have enough free time to do some shopping and check out the Turkish baths, too....
We'll be home on April 22nd, and will be gearing right up into MayFire. It's really exciting to see how many people are coming out to join us in the Valley of Fire this year. There is something incredibly special out there, as those of you who have joined us in the past already know. Maybe it's the way the wind has shaped the rock, something about the most invisible element having such a profound effect on the most tangible. Maybe it's the color of the rocks themselves, like the blood of the planet is throbbing within them. Maybe it's the moon, which will be waxing toward full while we're there... or maybe it's us, the people, coming with a pure intent to co-create, transmute and celebrate through music, movement, voice, service and fire... dancing the dance of the planets in the heavens as we fly around the sun....
Whatever "it" is, there is real magic to be found at MayFire, and it will only be better if *you* come and join us. There are about twenty spaces still open before registration closes, so if you've been on the fence, wavering and undecided, this is a good time to take an action and make a choice.
We'll hope to see you there, and regardless, I'll be in touch when we return. Until then, I send good wishes and warmth to you all....
In Love's Fire,
