About two years ago I was hanging out in front of Controlled Burn's camp site aka Fire Conclave Convergence, and this person drove up to me and was looking for the other Reno fire performers, we introduced to each other and he informed me that he was the doctor at BM in fact the only doctor on that day at BM, and I said well you must be the head Doc at BM, cuz your the only one...:)
Anyway shortly thereafter he showed me the moves, he did with the swords, figuring this was similar to my friend Jim, former BF of Linka and his sword which I had shot before it should be a breeze, wrong! Howard moves were slower and required a different set of photo techniques, not like drag shutter speeds. I wish to thank Mike Icon for pointing this out to me.
Instead I shot his performance with faster shutter speed, and with Hensel 1200 Porty as fill flash. The Hensel allowed for faster recycling time, there fore more shots than a camera flash.
This year Howward & Chelsea allowed me to stay at their place as their guest, and I could not think of a bettter gift to give to Howward than to provide this shot of him at the Hookahdome..
