about me
I love living in Boston, but I'm a country mouse at heart. A po-mo country mouse, if you will. Maybe even po-po-mo. I'm not sure. I have an inexplicably burning desire to learn how to play the accordion. I own an autoharp that I don't know how to play. I have a thing about naming betta fish after ethnic instruments. After 8 months of mourning for Bouzouki, I started the new year off right with Djembe. I swear, I'm about one step away from being a character in a Christopher Guest movie.

Basically, I have way too many thoughts on this... read more

I'm not sure I'm actually going to keep a blog, but I can't really see a reason not to. I don't need to keep a journal, I don't need to keep a diary. However, one of the things I like about my job is that I'm constantly getting food for thought on various topics addressing the arts community, and I'm realizing that I need a place to chew it out. Upcoming topics which may or may not be addressed:

- the "informal arts"
- healthcare reform
- how to get younger artists involved in their a... read more
