Next week I'm excited to go to the new San Francisco practice sessions at Kathryn Michael's on Guerrero & 25th. It's a progressive school for kids in a great neighborhood and even has courtyard to practice outside.

After cleansing and selling/giving away most of my clutter I packed some books, clothes, and the musical devices I couldn't bear to part w/ into my Jetta and relocated to this beautiful land where "downpour" means what a Eugenean calls drizzle.

(Next Weekend (Oct. 5-7th), Mestre Urubu will be hosting a capoeira batizado (baptism - sort of like a belt ceremony, but Brazilian style w/ workshops, ritual, performance, and festa). I'm gonna be getting my next cord and would love for anyone in the bay to come watch and support. The ceremony will be Saturday Oct. 6th at 2 o'clock at the Booker T. Washington Community Center, 800 Presidio Ave. Love you all! Chance)
