<div>I've been tagged by Dusty. The rules are:

1. Grab the nearest book. Don't dig for your favorite book, the cool book, or the intellectual one: pick the CLOSEST.
2. Open the book to page 23.
3. Find the fifth sentence.
4. Post the text of the next three sentences in your journal along with these instructions.
5. Tag five other people to do the same.

An excerpt from The Garden Gnome Book: An Illustrated History

"As a practice, its placement in the garden began in the late 18th century in a limited geographical area in the forests of Thuringia and northern Bavaria in Germany. One of the first and most famous accounts of garden gnomes dates to 1847, when Sir Charles Isham had twenty-one stauettes imported from Germany for his garden in Northhamptonshire, England. His neighbors deemed Isham an eccentric, and rumors circulated of midnight communions with his gnomes."
