for the night and the moon....for friends that play tunes with me......for the 6 baby raccoons in my tree out back......for my peaceful home.......for the universe providing.....for the fire that still burns inside of me.......for my desire to push my edges........for the little ones in my life and their amazingly pure hearts.....for blueberries, raspberries, blackberries, cherries, peaches, and plums........for my wonderfully productive tomato plants! YES!............for stories that make me cry and sing and think hard.........for my violin.....for the cello I will get to play these next two months........for my health.....for my ability to heal.........for my family in west virginia that I love.......for the flowers that are so beautiful and colorful....and delicate..........for my sweet and caring son.......for yuriko's love...........for the community that I find all around me......for my jobs and what I learn.....for the many books in my life............for the tunes I can whistle..........

samhain and the spiral ritual...the letting go..saying goodbye to the dead. time to burn/cry/celebrate transformation. I was ready tonight....had my vision earlier after I bathed and lit candles...prepared my offerings. but, the day/night changed and I spent that time alone at home at my own altar. no dancing, but plenty of chanting and turning and drumming. in between.....sweet blessings...be remembered. be love. namaste!

wow....so life really happens so fast and I never seem to know what to expect. I wonder if any of us really know that. I have some "big life" happenings these days..my son and his girlfriend's apartment burned .in march and they are fine....thank the goodness ....then, my career flipflopped and turned full circle a couple of times!. I am still looking for more work...anybody out there need art therapy? or maybe someone to do some research ...my health has been crazy...getting multiple trigger point injections to my back really added excitement....and then, the love and heart thing...well, it's been up and down........... it's been wild and I am not using my studio commercially. my wonderful son is living here part-time while he works his new job downtown. I am just trying to live as creatively and happily as I can!

ok...enough.....now the good things.....my friend, paul, and I made a wash tub bass in the woods and. then, my son and I hooked it up to an amp and played all experimental. it was really great.....and it's fun having my son home part time again. he's the best! and I have enjoyed my time with my son's little brother and sister...emma and max. emma will be 4 soon and max will be 2 in december. we have so much fun together. and, in may I went to west virginia to visit family. I have attached a photo of the scenic river at my brother's farm in west virginia. it's beautiful and it's my home! I love it back there.........but it's a long way from seattle. I love my job at antioch university...if you don't know about antioch in seattle, be sure to check it out. it's the best university! and you can always email me about it too.
