Founding member of Desert Dwellers, Amani has two decades of electronic and world music experience ... having been a musician ever since his fingers could reach his parent's massive collection of instruments from every corner of the globe. A graduate of the College of Santa Fe's Contemporary Music Program, Amani aims to produce music which combines the diversity of his studies within cutting-edge electronic styles. Beyond the borders of classification, Amani has weaved unique threads into the rich tapestry of west coast electronic iconography.

Desert Dwellers has it's orgins in the electronic music gatherings of the southwest .... Moontribe, Burning Man, Cosmic Kidz, and Gathering of the Tribes. Along with fellow band members Treavor Moontribe and Rara Avis, this electronic group is know for psychedelic dance and chill out music that exists beyond borders.

In addition to the Desert Dwellers project, Amani also collaborates with fellow Santa Fe producer Alex DeYoung as Variant Field ... an Experimental Techno and Deep Step project sure to blow your mind.

Amani also writes music for Ecstatic Dance, Yoga, and Meditation projects under the LA based group Shaman's Dream Music (with Craig Kohland & Rara Avis) and another New Mexico based project called Liquid Bloom.
