about me
question: What is the difference between the ego and the Self?
answer: That which comes and goes, rises and sets, is born and dies, thinks and is motivated by desires for and of the senses and emotions and the body is the ego. that which always abides, never changes, is unmoved by the emotions or worldly desires and is not dependent upon qualities, is the Self.
question: But is there a God/dess apart from ourselves? Is there a creator of the universe?
answer: If by ourselves you mean your body, then there is a creator, but if you mean the Self, then there is nothing but it. If you objectify and see a universe, then you are bound to see many things besides yourself and postulate a God/dess, the creator. the idea of body, God/dess and the world(s) rise and set together from and into the Self. In Reality there is only One. the purpose of Self-realization is not to realize the Self which is ever present, but to realize the non-existence of ignorance, suffering and pain, and to go beyond karma of the body, or the actions that cause the jiva to assume a body -- Karmapasa (literally means bonds of karma) --and the reason one comes to be embodied in a human form in the first place.

Whatever I dig up of you,
O Earth,
May you of that have

May your dwellings,
O Earth,
free from sickness

Through a long life watchful,
May we always offer to you our tribute.

" mInd alone is the cause of bondage or liberation; lost in pleasure seeking it leads to bondage, emptied of self conceit it leads to liberation. "
~ Panchadashi
As many wise souls have come to realize through deep introspection of the inner workings of precise cosmic movement: the universe keeps its own time, out of time, in the eternal present through its cyclic, balanced, and stabilizing dance of energies -- the harmony of the spheres. While the present moment seems to be heralding great changes in the lives of limited human awareness, as the seething powers of transformation seek to bring in a new age that none may be able to predict. We may wonder how best we can go with the flow and not cling too tightly to old structures, whilst not being washed away with the next tidal surge. To awaken our own understanding of the eternal present, the art and science of Geomancy helps us learn to become aware of these universal energies as they are experienced on planet Earth.
The literal meaning of the word Geomancy is "to divine the Earth spirt". To "divine" is to seek understanding or knowledge through inituition. The accepted definition of Geomancy, according to most modern English dictionaries, is: A type of divination or fortune telling, that uses features of the landscape.
This may be only a basic explanation, and one that lacks true experience.
True Geomancy is the art of using ones own will and intent to "tune in" to the energy/information matrix of the planet, a living and breathing entity, and mediating those energies to the Earthly plane or surface world for balance and healing. Thus one is obtaining information, energy and guidance directly from the spirit or the planetary mind, also known as Gaia. It is known that those who have wished to perform Geomantic rituals in the past sought out specific power spots for an obvious reason. The energy of the Earth is stronger at these places, thus making it easier to "tune in". Those who have studied Geomancy may find that many Christian churches in Europe are built upon power spots initially identified by a Pagan geomancer, revealing an age when primal Christianity and Paganism shared many ideals. It is interesting to note that the word "Pagan" originally meant that a person was a country dweller, or of the Earth.
Geomancy is also a holistic philosophy for understanding the Earth and the role that we, as humans, may partake in as caretakers of the Earth. Geomantic philosophy assures us that we are one with the Earth and that the energy of the Earth is the very force from which we draw our lives. The art of Geomancy includes the performance of rituals, meditations and mediations that help the people of the Earth to communicate with their planet in a harmonic sense. Oftentimes, the role of the Geomancer becomes that of "healer of the land" or mediator of healing energies. This is the divine art of regeneration, restoring the well-being of landscape and those that live upon it. Regular group rituals are considered to be very important for maintaining planetary stability and balance while also seeking to cultivate sustainability of life.
Since ancient times, those who are sensitive to the spirit of nature have indentified power spots of land such as Sedona and Chaco Canyon in America, or Stonehenge and the Glastonbury Tor in Britain, to name but a few; making them shrines or using them to conduct ceremonies that put them in touch with the Great Spirit and the spirit of the Earth. Power spots in Europe that many of our ancestors worked with were used as sites to practice a form of Earth worship very similar to that of the Native American medicine wheel. These ceremonies were performed within a purified, protected circle, dwelling between the worlds to raise the power within; where the sacred directions and ancestors were always honored.
All life and matter within our planet's gravity field are part of an energy matrix that connects everything. Strands of the web also travel through space, connecting all things in the universe. Native American mystics speak of this as the "web of life". The Sedona vortices are just one example of the major power spots of our planet that are connected to this web of life. New power spots are emerging presently or being identified with the intuition and dedication of Geomantic practitioners. The art of Geomancy is directly concerned with working with the engergies of the web. Upon our Earthly plane or surface world, most people can best understand the web by thinking of it as the biomagnetic field of the Earth. The wave patterns of our planet's biomagnetic field forms the strands of the web. These strands have also been referred to historically as Ley Lines. These natural Ley Lines of the landscape or forces of energy connect all power spots and vortices. The web acts as a group mind for the inhabitants of the planet collective and as a channel for information from the planetary mind ~ Gaia.

The truth is one the wise call it by many names
We often see images of Ma Kali or Durga with so-called weapons of war, particularly the sword, but it is a misconception to consider these weapons of actual combat. The ancient wisdom seers, the Sages and Rishis, some of them women in fact, who wrote sacred texts in a state of consciousness conveying the highest form possible in words, tell us that the sword is meant to represent that which destroys the bondage of ignorance--an ignorance that we are all born into--and helps us to discriminate between relative truths and eternal verities. The actual Sanskrit is: viveka-vijnana-mahasina, which translates as "the wonderful sword of knowledge and discrimination." The fact that such discrimination is picturised as a sword also expresses the belief that this understanding severs the shackles of bondage to our senses focused on the outer world, bringing us closer to our soul's purpose. Hence, the sword is also considered a symbol of detachment, as is apparent from the following line translated from the Vishnu dharmottara Purana: "The sword Nandaka represents vairagya with which the bondage of the world is broken."

"There is no difference at all between the Great formless Brahman and myself. It is only for the sake of the world that we appear as two. In absence of this manifested world, there is neither the male, female nor androgyne. Nothing in this world is devoid of me. I enter into every substance, and making Purusha the instrument. I do all the actions. I am the coolness of water, the heat of fire, the luster in the sun and also the soothing rays of the moon, which are but manifestations of my power.
If abandoned by me, this universe becomes motionless. Vishnu, Shiva, Indra, Agni, Moon, Sun, Death, and all the other deities are able to do their karmas only when they are united with their respective Shaktis. This earth, when united with Shakti, remains fixed and becomes capable to hold all beings inhabiting it. If it be devoid of this power, it cannot support even an atom."

yoga does not exist in heaven above, in the earth or in the nether world. those proficient in yoga declare that yoga is the unity of the individual and the supreme Self. ~Devi Gita

Any peeps still here?
I'm back... no not from the dead, well that's not true either ...
parts of me have died on the funeral pyre. gone I say and I am more alive than ever. swallowed whole and back to tell the tale.
I've missed you and missed what Tribe was... ah the glory days when we had so many deep conversations and shared, and we really had something to say, it's just so sad other networks just don't support artistic expression..
so I'm poking my head back in here to see ...

donning a new start
burning it all for the sake of leaving the outworn self behind

burn baby burn
and never ever look back
like the great blue immense stars
blue fire balls of grandeur shining in the black...
