I tried on sunday (day 3) to make a man decal with my vinyl stuff, but 1, the tape I had was too sticky and it wouldn't peel off properly, and 2, the sharpie stuck to the matte finish too well (had only used gloss before). So attempting counts, but I still get to claim midnight-3 AM as time spent doing creative work (book pages) anyway.

Yesterday (day 4) I actually had the book printed, and am quite pleased with the results. I'll probably be carrying it around for a little while, so if you... read more
Okay, so I've accepted the challenge to do something creative every day during the month of February. I'm off to a good start with some digital scrapbooking I've been doing for my pictures from Burning Man 2007. I'm now done with all 40 pages of the book I'm going to have made. Since "repurposed" art is a subject near and dear to many of us, I had to share the works of Eddie Breen when I came across them. He practices what he calls "piggyback art," amending paintings he deems to be incomplete. Included here is an fine example of a painting post-Eddie.

I found this in one of the boxes of clearance shit that's stashed in the back room of my store. I've been tempted to buy it just to put it on the wall of the guest room at Anti-M's. It's no more or less ridiculous than a Sebastian Haff action figure, is it?

By "This," I mean the preposterously overpackaged SD card, not Lorie; she'd squirm if I pinned her to a wall, I just know it.
