Okay, we started celebrating MonkeyBoy's birthday at the Berkeley Art Museum's Yoko Ono exhibit and the Bruce Nauman exhibit (my favorite was the neon, a little less common as art then). That was March 30th, picked up my friends at the airport, went to the museum, my work rock & roll band that night, bus tour and dinner out on Saturday, George's 60th birthday on Sunday, the Liveable City party and auction where I sold 5 pieces (very exciting for me) my friend Carol's birthday the following weekend at Fior d'italia...MonkeyBoy very involved with the Dan Das Mann and Karen Cusolito project, Crude Awakening, Then the next round, drinks at Be Nice (also Todd's birthday, the Be Nice host) and Retox with the Eggchairs, Dave and Jane and Nina and Abby and DA and Robin, etc. were already at the DPW night at Retox, the Open House at BMHQ, and the fire pit dedication (It was the coldest I ever remember on the beach that night) a few days in Napa tasting and buying wine, and then back home and April 19th, BRAF's Flip your Lid, a fabulous event (see the photo). Hangovers for both of us, and not even able to party at the 420 party that night.

So I declare the celebration had ended, a glorious 3 weeks of partying, MonkeyBoy not working, me barely working, my favorite friends coming to visit, a plethoria of birthdays, celebrating with our new Burning Man friends and friends from the 70s and 80s....wow.......

So what is next, neither of us are working a lot. Do we need to look for steadier income? Is this just a dip and it will pick up again, a gift of a little space in our lives that coincided with celebrating? Should we pull in a little and watch our pennies? Or will our life unfold in a new direction?
