I just started this new tribe. I am taking a mushroom identification class from the Puget Sound Mycological Society, and having lots of fun foraging for mushrooms and more. The other day while looking for flowers in the compost bins at the Pike Place Market, I found instead a bin full of fresh carrots and basil. I loaded up all the bags I could find on the street at that hour and headed home on my bike to make carrot soup and fresh pesto. It was a full moon and the world just seemed right in that instant. Fall has always been my favorite season, but the addition of more serious mushroom hunting is really making it fantastic.
