Baby names...
Mon, April 7, 2008 - 6:00 PMSo votes and/or totally new suggestions...
Gwyneth
Tamsyn
Zoe
I think of the three I'm most partial to Tamsyn. I like Zoe a lot but I seem to run into it more frequently lately; and just for the record I did not pick it because of Zoe Jakes (of the Indigo). Nor did I pick Gwyneth after the actress of the same name. :)
And for those who don't know, Zoe is pronounced Zoh-ee
Personally, I like Willow as well but Matt can't get that 80s movie of the same name out of his head, so that's out. LOL!
Thanks in advance!!! Picking names is soooo hard. Sabrey's was easy, I had that one for a long time before she was born. No so much with this one.

Tamsyn is nice and very unusual! Hmmm.... What about Sylvan Lee? It would kinda go with Sabrey - I like alliteration. :-)

I like Tamsyn - it has a nicely Celtic sound, fits nicely with Sabrey in my ear.
Zoe is pretty, but if you're concerned about media connections, be aware that the short-lived TV show "Firefly" has a HUGE cult following, and one of the characters was Zoe, a warrior. *hugs* |

I like Tamsyn best of all - it's so unique. I love Zoe too! My cat's name is Zoe- I named her after the Sesame Street character :) To add on to Misty's comment about media connections--"Zoe 101"- the Disney Channel show...Britney Spears' little sister is the star of this one.

Hmmm, yeah, more Zoe's than I thought...might have to pull that one out of the running. I totally forgot about Firefly (love that show). My dad really doesn't like Zoe, either - for no particular reason apparently other than it's just not a personal preference.
Matt really likes Tamsyn too. I think he's getting set on that one. So I'm thinking that may be the way we go unless we hear something we like better. The nice thing about that name also is that it's a variation of Thomasina, and Thomas is Matt's middle name. Just found that out last night. Another odd bit of info I have been told is that it was the name of the last 'witch' tried and convicted in the Salem Witch Trials. So it's a name with some interesting roots. Sylvan is pretty - but I keep thinking of Sylvana when I hear it. I mean I have nothing against Sylvana (hi Sylvana!) - I just don't like giving the same names as folks in my acquaintance unless I'm specifically naming a child after them. (Does that make any kind of sense?). Too many name repeats in my family has made me gun-shy, I think. |

Found another cool one (Nayna and I have been on the phone name-hunting, lol!)
Tabitha....kind of old-fashioned, but I like it.... |
