</a>
<div>.....Time to put a new CD together and keep this moment going. I have a new group of musicians to work with and I can see my band going on tour in the near future with a ton of music to perform. Time to start booking for the summer and fall, as well as 2009-2010. I want to end up at Burning Man by 2010.

I believe I should drop the 'Ahmed Garcia' from the name of the band and just call us Muse Oasis, now that I have a band to collaborate with. We did a great gig at the Enchanted Forest's Artoutside festival, and it was a sucess. Now to start booking gigs. Will see you on the road in the next few years.

In the 20Th century there are few musical styles that incorporate truly ancient and primal modes and cultural idioms. In today's world the Price Waterhouse Coopers global entertainment and media outlook from 2002-2006 has listed the world music genre as the single most persuasive new form in emergence and at the top of that is fusion. Fusion is the future of world music inspiration. " World Music Central's " contributing author Patricia Herlevi wrote in her article " The Powerful Language of Music". "A long, long time ago, during the dawn of the human epic, music existed as informative entertainment and for healing purposes. Music possesses shamanic roots and through the ages, music poured from the mouths and instruments of bards, troubadours, magicians, shamans, priests, priestesses, meistersingers and others initiated into the power of sound, words and storytelling--initiated in the tradition of healing with sound".

Vigilantly seeking to continue this honorable tradition of spirituality. Multi talented guitarist and glissintarist Ahmed Garcia is now poised at the zenith of this fusion genre and has emerged with guns blazing. Along with his faithful producer/co-producer live bass accompanist and mastering engineer Charles Patrick Mott. Ahmed Garcia has found the perfect balance between hard driving rhythms and soft supple melodies. Between clever solos based solely in originality and ancient beats and rhythmical roots fresh from the muse of antiquity.

Born of Colombian descent and raised by traditionally minded belly dancers; also absorbing successfully his fathers world view and staying true to his family's values Ahmed Garcia has found his faith to be something that he wishes to share with you and the world through his art form, through his music. While remaining respectful of Gods gift to Ahmed. This style and unique way of playing has taken over 20 years to perfect and is no simple or small accomplishment. Although Ahmed is the first to say he has had teachers and instruction over the years and this is an endearing testament to his humility as an artist. This type of fusion that has come to be known as " American Desert Music " is strictly and uniquely Ahmed and has come to be seen as the beautiful future tide of the American tribal dance community. To quote his producer Charles Patrick Mott " Ahmed is by far the most educated and deeply articulate instrumentalist' of his day. His music is historical, original and vibrant and is by far the very best example of old world tradition meeting new day innovation." Ahmed Garcia has appeared on other various formats through out his years but has finally come home with this gorgeous latest release entitled " Amelia " . This album of songs tell an enduring story of life found, life lost, faith and love and is truly a view of tomorrows face of fusion. With his band " Muse Oasis " confidently by his side you will find few other live world music experiences as rewarding as this one. Often cloaked in mystery and crowned with some of the regions top dancers the live performances of Ahmed Garcia and Muse Oasis are a bright and bangled musical and dance extravaganza with everyone left wanting more. So on behalf of the production team of Ahmed Garcia and Charles Patrick Mott. We would like to present and hope you enjoy " AHMED GARCIA " &amp; " Muse Oasis" ---- " AMELIA " ----.
The Archipelago of Kisses

<a href="http://people.tribe.net/ahmedgarcia/blog/581335c2-fe7a-4945-9108-22c749a22af0"> <img class=" picThumb" src="http://images.tribe.net/tribe/upload/photo/165/c46/165c4669-8491-435d-97f1-3c569131531d.thumb" width="55" height="78" alt="" />
    </a>
<div>We live in a modern society. Husbands and wives don't
grow on trees, like in the old days. So where
does one find love? When you're sixteen it's easy,
like being unleashed with a credit card
in a department store of kisses. There's the first kiss.
The sloppy kiss. The peck.
The sympathy kiss. The backseat smooch. The we
shouldn't be doing this kiss. The but your lips
taste so good kiss. The bury me in an avalanche of tingles kiss.
The I wish you'd quit smoking kiss.
The I accept your apology, but you make me really mad
sometimes kiss. The I know
your tongue like the back of my hand kiss. As you get
older, kisses become scarce. You'll be driving
home and see a damaged kiss on the side of the road,
with its purple thumb out. If you
were younger, you'd pull over, slide open the mouth's
red door just to see how it fits. Oh where
does one find love? If you rub two glances, you get a smile.
Rub two smiles, you get a warm feeling.
Rub two warm feelings and presto-you have a kiss.
Now what? Don't invite the kiss over
and answer the door in your underwear. It'll get suspicious
and stare at your toes. Don't water the kiss with whisky. It'll turn bright pink and explode into a thousand luscious splinters,
but in the morning it'll be ashamed and sneak out of
your body without saying good-bye,
and you'll remember that kiss forever by all the little cuts it left
on the inside of your mouth. You must
nurture the kiss. Turn out the lights. Notice how it
illuminates the room. Hold it to your chest
and wonder if the sand inside hourglasses comes from a
special beach. Place it on the tongue's pillow,
then look up the first recorded kiss in an encyclopedia: beneath
a Babylonian olive tree in 1200 B.C.
But one kiss levitates above all the others. The
intersection of function and desire. The I do kiss.
The I'll love you through a brick wall kiss.
Even when I'm dead, I'll swim through the Earth,
like a mermaid of the soil, just to be next to your bones.

<div>"People are often unreasonable, illogical, and self-centered; Forgive them anyway. If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives; Be kind anyway. If you are successful you will win some false friends and true enemies; Succeed anyway. If you are honest and frank, people may cheat you; Be honest and frank anyway. What you spend years building, someone could destroy overnight; Build anyway. If you find serenity and happiness, they may be jealous; Be happy anyway. The good you do today, people will often forget tomorrow; Do good anyway. Give the world the best you have, and it may never be enough; Give the world the best you've got anyway. 6. For womanly affirmation: Belly dancing in San Francisco, New York, or Austin

Belly dancing dates back to pre-Biblical times, when it was performed as a fertility-cult ritual. In ancient Arab tribes, midwives assisted women in labor by dancing around them, rolling their stomachs to imitate the contraction of the uterus. It was also performed as entertainment throughout the Orient by and for women who stayed home while their husbands were out. Not only a great physical workout, modern belly dancing will get you in touch with your earthy self. Communities can be found in every corner of the United States. San Francisco is home to Fat Chance Belly Dance, a renowned tribal dance troupe. Take a class at their studio at 670 South Van Ness Avenue. In New York City, look up legendary teacher Morocco of the Casbah Dance Experience, or Sarah Johansson Locke of Alchemy Performance. ***Austin, Texas is the place to be on full moons, when Lucila Dance Productions hosts Haflas, gatherings of dancers and drummers who snack on grape leaves as they dance barefoot beneath the stars. Down some wine if you feel inhibited: it's the best hip lubricant around!***</div>

<div>.......I have been awaken! I can see....my heart can see. What a lent this is going to be!

My grandmother died on Ash Wednesday. For her this would be major as she is a devote Roman Catholic of almost 90 years. Her name is Ligia. Though I was across town, I saw her and felt her presence when she died. I started to cry tears of Joyful Sorrow. Before I knew it I began a spiritual journey back into my own Orthodox faith.

I have been meditating since her death and I see so much clearer now. So many things that have come to pass culminating to the Eternal Now. I see that I have been selfish and I want to ask for everyone's forgive as I go through my spiritual growth. I have been so caught up in this journey that this morning I wrote this song and thought of my grandmother's soul tapped into the Universe. I see so much now. She has been sharing with me. Imagine......flying and forgivness...........So, I wrote this song.

    </a>
<div>I am a staunch listener of NPR/Public Radio were there are no commercials and they do not play typical commercial radio stuff. www.kut.org

BUT.......I just started to listen to Commercial radio myself recently as I have started to teach kids how to play rock n roll. At the School of Rock, www.schoolofrock.com This season we are teaching them how to play Pink Floyd the Wall.

The kids today, the young pre-teen/early teens, are listening to Classic Rock, which I thought was strange. I thought they would be listening to Korn, Ween, Def Tones, Nirvana, or Pearl Jam. But they tell me there is no musical value in it. The real Rock and Roll music to learn from are bands like the Beatles, Santana, the Doors, Black Sabbath, SRV, Hendrix, Van Halen. I was like WTF???!?!??........must be their parents and shure enough it is.

So I started to listen to KLBJ, www.klbjfm.com one of the last radio station that was still family owened till recently. Lady Bird Johnson and her family owed it. (Clear Channel did not buy) So now I am listening to Tom Petty, AC-DC, Pick Floyd, Judas Priest. The stuff the kids listen to now-a-days. Go figure. I still turn it down when the commercials come in. But it is Rock and Roll baby.

"Saving Rock and Roll one kid at a time!"

PART II

January 2007

So it has been over two years, going on three. This has been one of the most fulfilling times in recent times. See these kids/young adults progress and learn all these songs and do shows and tour. Rock and Roll is not dead. I see it every week. It use to be a chore to teach; now it is something I look forward every week.
