I've known Aidan since his stint in Chicago back in the 80s. I was a sullen animator/computer graphics punk and he was a hot young rock and roller and a lousy drunk... one of the many things in his life he's faced down and conquered.
We were roomies for a time and I remember it all fondly.
Aidan's one of the greatest folk in the world to converse with, either in person or online. He's always been an omnivore of info. Funny, artistic, clever and a brave honest soul. And I'm extremely happy to report that lo these many years on Aidan continues along his path of self-knowledge and self-improvement, enriching those he encounters along the way.

I met Aidan in Chicago when he came over with his guitar and sang beautiful songs. The next thing I knew, Aidan and I were in a '75 Dodge van traveling to San Francisco in the dead of winter. We lived in a flea-infested apartment where we inherited a cat. Aidan named him Honcho. We also had a couple of birds, until Honcho ate them. My favorite memories of Aidan and me in San Francisco is of going down to the wharf to watch the seals, and Aidan spending our last dollar on cookies in Chinatown. Those were great cookies. We did a lot of walking around. We couldn't afford much else. And those were good times. Aidan worked around the corner from our apartment. Sometimes he would come to the window, and slip me a piece of cake.

Julia Roberts (in case you weren’t aware) in a story that was pitched a little low at a 12a rating in the UK and consequently a little slow, especially in the beginning with a long drawn out fight sequence in slow motion, which I felt like ok I get this can we move on now? Clive Owen as usual did a standup job. Nice cinematography by Robert Elswit who has director of photography on Michael Clayton, Syriana, Punchdrunk love and a whole bunch of other films.
