I first met Aimee on Thanksgiving 1975. She did not have a name yet and she was all wet and streaky and was attached to something by an umbilical cord. I loved her then and I love her still, despite the fact that she remains stubbornly my daughter. Seriously, though, she is beautiful, smart, talented and good-hearted, and she is much more fun to be around than anyone else I know.
