well, first and foremost, Allie (ie me) is a useless Dreamer and starveing artist extrodinaire..everything i own has paint on it somewhere....my life, for the most part, revolves around art, everything from painting, to photography(digital -and- darkroom.... and yes, i devolope my own), to dance, to writeing/preforming slam poetry to designing/makeing clothes.... i dance with a 'tribal' troupe; the Daughters of Sophia.... (www.TribalDanceArts.com) we've kind of evolved into more of a tribal fusion troupe... with all the slavic, flamenco and folkloric bits that always manage to sneak themselves into most of our choreography....my specialty is the sword...not only dancing.... but to throw, spin and flip the damn thing..... (ow!)....
when i'm not danceing im usually tresspassing with my camera in tow... working as a professional photographer is a great excuse when you're caught where you shouldn't be.... (hehe)...i have a bordering-on-unhealthy obsession with 'beat generation', books like 'the house of leaves', old photographs, abandoned buildings and weird antiques (esp books and jewlery).... everywhere i go i get to play 'the stareing game'.... ie people tend to stare at me.. and not even attempt to look like they;re not.... so i turned it into a game and count them...the afformentioned gawking is probably due my interest in body modification...(nose, eyebrow x2, smiley, tongue and madison.. for now), the dreads, or my 'unique' taste in fasion...it's fun....
oh, did i mention i talk to much?....just be happy this hasn't degenerated into some kind of rambling poetic nonsense...yet
