Andalucia!
Thu, November 2, 2006 - 9:32 AM
I was lucky enough to sneak away on a week-long whirlwind tour of southern Spain, the region known as Andalucia, this October. First, I landed in Madrid, then flew to Jerez, where my girlfriend picked me up and drove me to Cadiz on the southern coast. From there we visited a Moorish town called Vejer de la Frontera and then set out on a one-day ferry trip to Tangier, Morocco. Then we travelled east to a tiny villa called Jimena de la Frontera, which was overlooked by crumbling castle ruins, but not before stopping in Gibraltar..yeah the big rock. Then we continued east through Malaga (I can officially drive anywhere now after surviving that chaos!) and onto Granada and its la Alhambra .. a magnificent Moorish palace. Finally I returned home after another 22hours of travel time and began editing my photos, some of which you can see here ---->
