Here's my little dance blurb :) I had my first taste of bellydance in the summer of 2003 with Ilana Salazar in Toronto. Then I jetted off for an extensive period of working and living abroad. When I returned to Toronto, I found out about Hannan's Bellydance Studio. So, I started taking bellydance classes with the wonderfully terrific Hannan Sultan in the fall of 2005. I believe it was only three seconds into the first class when it hit me: I LOVE THIS! After just a couple of months I joined Hannan's newly formed student troupe, The Sultanettes, and since then the troupe has been on many great dancing adventures. In 2007 I also joined a professional dance company called Rhythm of the Nile. It is directed by Nada Krysko, a former member of the Reda Troupe of Egypt. Over the years I've also taken classes with other lovely instructors at the studio, namely: Zahira, Abigail and Robyn. I've also attended workshops with many great dancers such as Aziza, Jillina, Petite Jamilla, Jim Boz, Tamalyn Dallal, Randa Kamal, Hadia and Denise Enan. So there you have it. The story of my bellydance life thus far. I can assure you that I'll be adding more chapters with time ;)
