Bloviating

Relaxed

Thats how I feel after a little over a week in Sabang, Mindoro, the Philippines, even after 16 hour plane rides, 3 hour bus rides and 1 hour boat rides. The diving was incredible. Three or four dives a day, including a night dive and wreck dives. The marine life is impressive and extensive. Lots of soft and hard coral. Saw many eels, lion fish, scorpion fish, frog fish, puffer fish, sole, cuttle fish, an octopus, sea snakes, a turtle, white tip sharks, lots of nudibranchs, sea horses, crabs, shrips, mantis shrimps and a pletora of tropical reef fishes.

From a culinary perspective, there is not much to write about, except for the delightful citrus fruit "calamansi", which tastes a bit between a lemon, orange and mandarin, and is used as a lemon/lime substitute, and "balut", a boiled fertilized duck egg, which has a stronger egg flavor and some bits in it.
