You've got to be fucking kidding me.
Sun, July 1, 2007 - 10:16 AMl'm sorry, but this fucking overly PC bullshit in this country is really, REALLY starting to get on my nerves. Don't want to offend anybody, nooooooo. They might keel over and die from stress. Good gawds.

Yep.
Well, anyone running FireFox can now block images on their end without ever affecting tribe or anyone else, so if they're the ones that did it, then it's because they're, um, pretty troubled. You write back to tribe about it? |

Yeah, l did write back to Tribe, and hollered freedom of press and my @#%$#$#^@#$^$%##$$^%^%&^&&^*& right to post whatever the hell l want. Hopefully, they'll realize this particular instance makes them look like every right winger on the planet with a bug up their asses and give my damn photo back. lt was FUNNY, dammit.

honey...
i thought you knew...there is no right of free speech or press or any of that shit...i suggest that you relisten to the old clash song "know your rights"...just in case you don't have the song...your rights are as follows...1. you have the right to food money...providing of course you don't mind a little investigation, humiliation, and if you cross your fingers, rehabilitation. 2. you have the right not to be killed, murder is a crime...unless it was done by a policeman or an aristocrat. 3. you have the right to free speech, as long as, you are not dumb enough to actually try it. know your rights. these are your rights. all 3 of them...sorry about the picture...but it was to be expected...i saw it and i thought it was rather fetching also...

ALi, I understand your feelings, but I can see why people wouldn't like that picture. There is a lot of ultra sensitivity about children and showing then in any situation that might sort of be considered even a little sexual.
There are lot of people who would consider that picture to be obscene, but there are also people who would find that sort of picture titillating . It is unfortunately the way the world is these days. |

Ali
I think the photo is fucking hilarious and I'm glad you re-posted it even though you had to do it as a friends only. I agree with you on the ultra sensitve PC bullshit. I am a very empathetic person and I CAN see how other's might get offended, but give me a break you're not posting kiddie porn! The main reason that I would be offended is, as you mentioned, the other photos weren't removed. I think if someone was offended about a kid whizzin on a tree, being the empathetic person that I am, I would think it was pretty hypocritical that they weren't offended by the bathtub pics. If I was in THEIR shoes I would be more offended by those. Well, my dear you can't offend me, not unless it's personnal! I got your back! Post away! |

Hysterical! I love it!
Yep - it's over the top how f'ing paranoid everyone is. I think we do ourselves a disservice not only in that we miss good things because we are so uptight, but we also don't call out when something is wrong because we might offend. Oh - I also like the pics of you on the tramp with the little guy. You look so healthy and happy!! |

NyteMusic...
Thanks, hon. He's the new love of my life. lt looks like l'll have another trip back next year around the same time, and l'm really excited. We had a great time. l still haven't put up a blog about it yet, but l will soon. The adjustment period being back has been a real challenge, and things are finally settling down some, thank gawd.

*plays "cry me a river" on a violin*
:) Just messin with ya, it is kind of funny that you are complaining about this in your blog though, (chuckels) |

Why is it funny?
lf Tribe can check out my shit (and l left this blog public for that purpose), then l think it's a pretty fair complaint should they choose to. Maybe they won't stop playing The Man's games.

I don't think there's much I can add here, so I'll just let it suffice to say that I back you up all the way on this Ali. May victory go to the System Busters!

A seminal book re this hysteria:
"Harmful to Minors -- The Perils of Protecting Children from Sex." by Judith Levine. Because she writes honestly about sexuality and children, her book was denounced as a "pedophile manifesto" and horrific pressure was brought to bear against the university press that published it. It is no such thing, but it might as well have the NAMBLA imprint for all the loony hysterics could discern. It has a foreword by Dr. Jocelyn Elders, the former Surgeon General who was fired by Bill Clinton when the same crowd heard that she'd suggested that teaching kids that masturbation was acceptable. You'd think she'd instituted a program where kindergarten kids had circle-jerks after milk and cookies and before nap time.
