Insomnia records presents Alien Mental - Mind Hack: The debut album of La, from Chennai-India, currently docked in San Francisco. His audial journey began by playing in many bands in his home town, in the genres of rock, punk, metal, jazz, fusion and many more. It was around 1999 he started experimenting with electronic musik and having reverse engineered countless possibilities within the new medium he quickly began to work hard on his take of electronik music. The project Alien Mental began in San Francisco after countless trance gatherings, during which he received musical visons of the future. Having discovered the magical, spiritual and healing nature of the trance dance experience he is geared towards pushing the boundries of trance by fusing a wide genre of musik together in the form of composition, rythym, melodies, structure and many such elements. He is also responsible for the trance project Sonik Scizzor and has a side project with Zik/Horror Place called Jibber Jabber. He is constantly collaborating with traveling artists to capture new experiences and different perceptions. He has released tracks on labels such as Echo Vortex, Tantrumm, Drop Out, Vertigo, Mistress of Evil and Manic Dragon to name a few. The album Mind Hack, is an eye opening journey into ones inner dimensions, society and the cosmos. It is a map that will alter your perception giving you an imprint to remember. It is inspired by Ancient Forbidden Technologies found on our planet. Be sure to surrender to the effected spectral content of the universe as you "reclaim your mind" and be mind hacked.

is La, from Chennai (South India); currently living in San Francisco, also responsible for the project Sonik Scizzor. He started his audial voyage playing in many different bands; metal, punk, jazz, fusion and more since the age of 16. He was pulled into the electronic realm of music in 2000, when he heard some pretty obscure electronic noise music from japan and europe. Completely blown away by the power of synthesizers and computers he started to experiment with electronic music.

After moving to San Francisco, he started the trance project "aliEn meNtaL". The project is geared towards pushing the boundries of goa/psy trance and fusing different genres of music together. He released Alien Mental - Mind Hack his debut album on Insomnia Records in winter 2007 and has had more than 20 releases with other record labels like Tantrumm Records, Drop Out, 5th Element, Vertigo and more. He also has a side project with Zik called Jibber Jabber which offers yet another twist in trance personal storytelling. As the label owner of Echo Vortex Records he is commited to broadcasting cutting edge electronic music to the listeners worldwide.
