Miss Alixandra, the super fire fairy goddess of the redwoods!

I miss you so much and wish we could play more often... fanz of fire gently whoooshhing around our bodies, belly's rolling in dance and laughter. ahhhhhh~*~*~*

Alix is the first person to hand me kevlar, lit up and ready to bring out the fire fairy inside. At a full moon drum circle this dear sister handed me the end of her burn with fire fanz and said, "Tamara, I think you would like these...." ohhhh my! and the story goes. thank you thank you thank you for that bright beautiful evening. I didn't know much of what to do with them, but can vividly recall spinning around entranced by the flames. What an amazing unfolding journey it has been.

The art this sister creates in her digital dark room is utterly inspirational majick. She has a gift for seeing the mythical in the mundane and bringing the fantasy of life into reality. thank goddess for people like you. Her energy and joyful spirit creates a resonance of bliss around her... LOVE YOUR WAY GORGEOUS!!!! I adore dancing with you and am super excited to see your new land, home and redwoods garden. you create majick wherever you go.

the fairy of flight
mystical and light
divine and pure
and mysteriously obscure

a random jewel caught in the hunters bow
peaceful and wild she captures the waters flow
and yet desperately desires to let it all go

little angel of bliss,
sending you a sweet friendly kiss
mistress of fire, fairy of light
illuminating compassion will give you divine sight

If I can help it, I will avoid all 40 hour corporate jobs again for the rest of my life.

only creating art, dance, burning things for ritual dance, some teaching and freelance graphics will be in my realme of existence. goodbye corporate media, goodbye. my brain can no longer stand to pretend to be numb.

of all the things in the world that need action and that the nations corporate controlled media are aiding the existence of a droned out mentality when even I shut the tv off because I cant deal with one more story about Iraq or the formula written news . all the critical thinking and analysis of an investigative journalist is not present - the news today is like this blaring formula of stale rehearsed lines that hold no soul and no call to action . bland and dull it speaks to shut off our mi... read more

whales, because George W. Bush thinks that the NAVY should be exempt from the EPA (environmental protection Agency) ' s ban on sonar, naval testing... I wonder why these bans are in place, ... maybe to protect our whales and dolphins who become breached, ill and die whenever the NAVY tests sonar, so George w. Bush, once again thinks that the rules dont ACTUALLY APPLY to anything he wants to do, and so he signed an EXEMPTION, making it perfectly ok for the NAvy to ignore the rules about sonar.... read more

Serious Thinking

The mood-music for several weeks in November-December 2007 has been of the cautious improvement of military and political prospects in the various leading fronts of George W Bush's "war on terror". The United States military surge in Iraq was clearly having some success; a febrile political situation in Pakistan was nonetheless contained, with violence in areas such as Swat being addressed; the winter was expected to see an easing of the conflict in Afghanistan; the Annapolis summit could be presented as a signal of progress in middle-east negotiations; and Iran's recalcitrance over its nuclear programmes meant that there seemed a real possibility of maintaining pressure on Tehran (via an economic squeeze, international support for a third round of United Nations sanctions, and the ultimate threat of military force).

The price of oil is approaching $100 a barrel, the concentration of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere is accumulating faster than the most pessimistic scenarios are predicting, anthropogenic climate change is occurring. The recognition that the world's scientists, diplomats and media gathered at the Bali climate-change summit are arguing over - the necessity of moving beyond dependency on a fossil-fuelled, carbon-emission-based global economy - is becoming increasingly hard to ignore.

Cornelius Cardew (1936-81) developed a philosophy of experimental notation and indeterminacy that influenced art music throughout the world. He was a deeply moral thinker, engaged in a constant struggle for truth in art, life, the political world, and himself. In face of all criticism and mockery, he stood with his personal, political and aesthetic beliefs against British musical conservatism, the avant-garde establishment, and finally, the experimentalism he himself had created.

Cornelius CardewCornelius Cardew, 1936 – 1981

Cardew's musical activity divides neatly into the tripartite period division adopted in biographical studies of Beethoven and other composers, and for reasons beyond the merely aesthetic: Cardew tended to burn his bridges once he decided upon a new path.
