~DREAMING U DREAMING ME~

i heard the footsteps in the hall before u walked in

aura soft and expansive

intergalactic metapoetic physical advances
slowly shifting stances
i stay grounded but entranced by ur glances

with the precise rhythm of a pulsar
explosive mozart symphonic flashes
stream between our eyelashes
bridging past with future
and we pitch our tense
in the present circumstances

feet planted parallel
to support the imminent collapse of the veil
and the shared experience
of that which is unchanging and real
beyond subjective perception

synchronized with sunspots
using the lenses of broader senses
u are but a reflection
casting a similar essence
strobing to all directions

we explore the outer realms of introspection
skipping to another octave's spectrum
safe in spontaneity's caressing

hearts of pure intention float in a tidepool
of phosporescent waves
whirling and weaving
according to the pattern of our breathing
exceeding the speed of luminosity

the room dissolves at that velocity...

and there is nothing
but our commonly held bond
like a lotus and a lightning wand
balancing the storm
with the frightening calm

thru the darkest night and the brightening dawn
somehow i am here now with u
glowing as if a light was on
behind ur eyes
and ur pupils were a disguise
for a total eclipse

and if i knew that a glimpse would render me blind
tender be the lips that my fingertips would find

tracing ur outline engraved in my mind
like a holographic stencil accompanied by a soundtrack
of magick instrumental tones that open portals

falling thru with no cord pulled
alone in this place
we must be resourceful
home without space

moving at such high rates
we don't even have the chance to vibrate
watching our united self create
waterfalls of silent song
that break into the shapes of u-n-i verses
since we can't separate
we sing along

and the next thing i know
i awake in ur arms and u in mine
beside a long lake of sunshine
splashing thru the window

we take time to unwind from this state
wordless sublime understanding permeates
that each one of us is a pearly gate
now
there is no wait
we can never be early or late

and i am so grateful
humbled by ur graceful presence
i stumble on a sentence
as if my own voice is a dentist numbing my mouth
into total acceptance of pure bliss
manifesting in the form of ur kiss

and like all things
i'm sure this will pass
or at least seem to
and later i'll wonder again...

Because I am a Witch, My Love

Because I am a witch, my love, I will not be like any other lover you may have had. My outlook on life is different, and so are the habits I arrange about my calendar. First of all, I have a deep love for the earth, Herself, and there may be nights you see me gazing at the moon... and when I describe my vision to you, it is likely to begin, "Isn't she..." for I cannot look at that beautiful sun-lit orb of the night sky and not see it as feminine. You think it odd that I would attribute to the moon a human quality? Even more, for I see Divinity permeating all the things of nature about us. There are likely to be times that you will see me talking to the trees, the squirrels, even the rocks for in my view all things are permeated with life and being.

Sometimes it is confusing for you, as my sexuality is a bit different than others you have known. I seem both stronger and yet more gentle, and it both confuses you and yet attracts you. This is, my love, because I orient my belief system to polarities, and in a sense, I see the Universe in manifestations of Yin and Yang and also of God and Goddess. When I was a child and being raised in the religion of my parents, the religious teachers told me "We are all created in the image and likeness of God." And when I looked about me, I could only begin to believe that God must be both masculine and feminine. And to be a Witch means that I worship the fertility of nature. One of the 'mysteries' is that magick and creativity are the products of the coming together of the 'feminine' principle and the 'masculine' principle. In a stereotypical fashion, we may see the mundane manifestation of this in your parents creating you and your mother giving birth to you... I feel that I must be well-balanced internally yet, on a particular full moon (for I psychically reach out and bring those energies into myself, which must sound peculiar to you) I might be roaring with leonine energy and on another feeling a need to be held and delightfully cuddled...

I know that you are fascinated with me, for you have told me so. There is a sense of Magick about me? Well, Witches do study Magick. It is one of the systems of belief we use to understand a symbolic ordering of the Universe and its functions. And Magick works. Remember the night we met? It certainly wasn't by chance... And there was the night you told me you felt I have a certain power. I guess I must admit to that, for as Witches we study power, even though we know that we can not use our ability to manipulate any one nor harm any thing. And those are strong ethics, for I am nonviolent yet I do have a power. I cannot enter a room without being noticed. And you find that attractive in me...
