Wandering Dog Wine Bar
My parents bought a wine bar last spring in Solvang (just north of Santa Barbara) called Wandering Dog Wine Bar. It is quite fabulous. They have an incredible selection of wines. They specialize in small production wines but have wines from all over the world as well as lots of great Central Coast stuff. If you are driving down that way, be sure to stop in and say hello. Tell them you know me. My brother CT, who manages the place, is very knowledgeable without being pretentious. He'll help you pick out the best wine just for you and your palate. They are having a *terrific sale* on wine until the first week of 2008.

My dear cousin Jonathan died on Sunday
It is so bizarre to try and really wrap my head around it. Late Sunday night my 32 year old cousin Jonathan died in a diabetic coma. He'd been diagonsed with diabeties about a year ago. I'm not sure of all the details surrounding his death but I'm in shock!Jonathan was my goofy cousin. The one who always smiled and wanted to party. He were very close growing up and into our twenties but driffed in the last 10 years as I did the marriage/kids thing and continued to do the partying.
I'm taking the red-eye to Maryland tonight for the service and to be with my family. Probably won't be on tribe much.
I'm soooo sad. Just soooo sad.
Meet GB's sister: Andrea Marie
That's right folks, Gangster Boyscout's sister is now on tribe! Check her out cuz she is HOT! Did I mention she is single?? Drop her a line to say hi, introduce yourself, etc.people.tribe.net/d4032712-...19543d5762
Give her a big tribe welcome!
I'm divorced today!
Today is the day. I'm officially divorced. Yippee!!One year and 3 days since we decided to separate.
8 years, 10 months and 10 days since our wedding.
Anyone wanna date my friend?
I'm looking for dates for my hot friend Alicia. She is 32, divorced with a 6.5 year old son who lives in the East Bay.My friend Alicia is single and doesn't know how to flirt and make it known to the world that she is wanting to date. So, I'm helping her out a bit.
She is fabulous! Alicia is the person I call when I need someone to tell me the truth. She doesn't sugar coat it. She makes me laugh. She is a loyal and attentive friend. She is creative and has lots of good ideas.
A few more things about her:
- she won't participate in internet dating
- she is a runner; marathons are nothing to her
- she loves to camp, hike, and see the great outdoors
- she loves to travel with her son and will drive hours and hours in search of fun
- she is a teacher
- she might kill me when/if she finds out I did this, but I love her and want to help her find someone equally fabulous
- she is bi-lingual (spanish and english)
- she makes amazing salsa
Big Trees
A couple of weeks ago, GB and I went to a wedding. He was a groomsman. Doesn't he look so fucking HOT in that tux?!?! OMG!Anyway, oops, I got distracted.
The wedding was held at a lodge in the Sequoia National Park. It was beautiful! The setting was beautiful. The couple was beautiful. The ceremony was beautiful and I'm happy to report I'm not longer completed jaded when it comes to people living happily ever after.
The day after the wedding we drove up to see the big trees. Oh, my. How to explain the feeling I get from these trees. The strength, the energy, the absolute magnitude of something so powerful sends me reeling.
I've never been able to grasp the concept that god is man. Instead I'm thinking, maybe god is a big tree.

That is the day my divorce will be final and I'm so excited I'm almost giddy! I feel like dancing but I'm wary of getting too wrapped up in something that is yet to happen. It will be almost one year to the day that we decided to split. It has been a tough year, don't let the giddiness fool you. But, here I am emerging, discovering, growing. I feel like the butterfly about to bust out of the cocoon!
You'll all be invited to my debutante party! That's right, baby, I'm Coming Out! Yippee!!!!
