A Paradox of Foxes

about me
I am a devotee of Hermes, interested in travel, communication, globalization, worldwalking, liminality, hybridity and the connection between Kether and Malkuth. I waver between imagining the world as a serpent-dancing harlot, and as a Teleidoplex. I'm a foxy trickster who wears a variety of masks -- academic, dancer, singer, shaman, storyteller (in a variety of mediums), raven, etc. Ignore the multiple tails; they're only a problem when I try to sit...rassum frassum.

My Blog

Happy fricken birthday to me.

This year I'm really doing it. Heading off to California for that best of all holidays in the best of all places to celebrate it. If people are interested in joining me, airfare looks to be running around $180 for a non-stop flight. I'm going to be renting a car while I'm there, and probably crashing with old friends that I haven't seen in years, but if others are interested in coming, we can work out other lodging arrangements (I bet we could have fun watchin... read more

I'm mainly a livejournaler, and have been for a few years now. I'm familiar with the way that social interactions and networks tend to develop on LJ, but I haven't quite got the hang of things here at tribe.net. How do people use this resource? How does it fit into and facilitate their daily interactions and relationships? I find for me that LJ is largely supplementary. So far, tribe.net seems a lot less immediate and personal. Any thoughts?

My Testimonials

April 4, 2005
I miss my Alyc!
Not only is she a beautiful, talented dancer bursting with personality, but she’s also a kind, patient and true friend. Alyc was one of my earliest inspirations to dance and was always willing to take time out of her day to help me learn new steps or practice with me. She was our little ringleader for entertaining the Queen (and ourselves) each day and told great stories on the origin of bagpipes and family “lore.” Her creativity and imagination know no bounds. We miss you lots!!!
