well I just thought of this in the middle of everything, that I have been reinspired by british folk music of the 60's and 70's. I grew up with it as my dad played the guitar and was a fan of Sandy Denny and John Renbourn, etc. In particular I rediscovered the track called Sidi Brahim on the album Enchanted Garden. So, my friends, this is a begining of some kind. The lovely Sarah and I have started serious work on our choreo for November. Scary for me because I have never choreographed anything in my life! Somehow (thanks to Sarah) it is happening in spite of me. We had a big session last week and went through a bit of it at the martial arts studio today. We have so much work to do in a very short amount of time, but I hope it turns out as rockin' as I think it will...

Hello! I have not had a chance to properly update about this since last week, but I had an audition for the local bellydance troupe, Palmetto Oasis. The audition was last thursday, and I used the tribal fusion choreography that Alicia taught us in class at MEDE. Loads of people liked it, even some people who said they didn't like Tribal said that I'd made them like Tribal, which was great. Audition is on Thursday! woo :) Should be fun. Went through the choreo with Sarah today and changed a few things :) Looking forward to seeing everyone else's solos. Am working 10 hour days this week so I'm going to have to be at work on Thursday at the butt-crack of dawn, but that's ok :P
