Amira is a wonderful, giving person who is full of light and love. She has a way of making one feel comfortable just by being there. Her friendship is a wonderful gift that I will cherish always. I met her through a friend who said I always reminded her (the friend) of Amira. That is such an amazing compliment! Amira is warm, open, kind, funny, clever, emotionally fluent, amazingly talented, creative, cute, intuitive......etc.! In short, she rocks!!!!

last night was the first preview of the show i've been painting/propping so now my contract is pretty much done, i just need to wrap up some details and go to the official opening on thursday night, print a photo of myself for the lobby display, & get paid. it's good to not be wearing filthy paint clothes every day. so now it's the final stretch. i'm trying to say goodbye to people though i fe... read more

yes, i made it to BRC and back in one piece. this year i did very well in terms of not hurting myself much past a burn on my hand and some bruises. it was a fine 10 days, next time i'll go for longer, work harder, see more art for god's sake, and camp with less people. BRC poutine was a pretty big success but for the mess left on tuesday morning. i was staying until thursday, doing various bits of volunteer work cleaning up for playa info, the cafe, and serving in the commissary. by the time ...

my portfolio website is now publicly available for all to see. it's been a project i've hacked away at since april at least, and now it is there. everything i could manage to get into digital viewable format. now i can maybe finesse and tweak it a bit, deal with the final details, and get some video online somewhere. maybe utube. and pay for it. it is a relief and i can't wait to find out how people react. i have a wide... read more
