Amira is a wonderful, giving person who is full of light and love. She has a way of making one feel comfortable just by being there. Her friendship is a wonderful gift that I will cherish always. I met her through a friend who said I always reminded her (the friend) of Amira. That is such an amazing compliment! Amira is warm, open, kind, funny, clever, emotionally fluent, amazingly talented, creative, cute, intuitive......etc.! In short, she rocks!!!!

There's something about her... it lingers with you like the after taste of plump summer strawberries. A creative energy that hums like a hive, a constant and courageous pursuit of truth, a heart so large and compassionate it leaves me a little wonderstruck and inspired.
She seeps inspiration like sunshine: clowning, costumes, stiliting, painting, modelling, adventure, peformance art, reflections spoken with a true voice, rousing the artists to action, helping everyone in her company to open their hearts with her. Thank you, Amira, for helping me open mine. It's made life so much richer.

my portfolio website is now publicly available for all to see. it's been a project i've hacked away at since april at least, and now it is there. everything i could manage to get into digital viewable format. now i can maybe finesse and tweak it a bit, deal with the final details, and get some video online somewhere. maybe utube. and pay for it. it is a relief and i can't wait to find out how people react. i have a wide... read more

this agriculture, this destruction long term we most of us don't even realize.... this culture... i've been devouring "a short history of progress" by ronald wright. it's kind of devastating. talking about ancient civilizations self-destructing by ruining the land around them via deforestation, poor irrigation practise, generally sucking the earth dry. for example, sumer, in iraq area, one of the earliest cities, is now a salt desert due to human activities. meanwhile ... read more

this is a letter from dany lyne about a large scale connective activity she is conducting in the theatre community in canada. last year she won the siminoitch prize for design in theatre, the biggest theatre design award in the country. she is a set & costume designer, as well as a burner for those who care.
