I always feel a swell of pride when Amor’s name comes up, and people are gasping about his intellect, and I can say, “Oh, we’re quite close.” I feel ridiculously like a namedropper; everyone knows I must be smart if I have Amor’s seal of approval. But what people intimidated by Amor’s crackling cynicism and ridiculously well read conversation often never get is that Amor operates fundamentally from a place of deep caring and passion about the world and his friends: why else his nom de tribe? He is an astoundingly good friend to have on all levels: he can talk and listen; he makes me laugh and is there for me when I’m blue. And he likes creamed spinach, too, which makes him just about perfect.

Looks like Queen captured the words I wish I wrote for Amor:
Why Can't we give ourselves one more chance? Why can't we give love that one more chance? Why can't we give love give love give love? Give love give love give love give love give love give love? Cause Amor's such an old fashioned word And Amor dares you to care For the people on the edge of the night And Amor dares you to change our way Of caring about ourselves... I honestly believe that the good Dr. has 2 brains, possibly 3. I don't know how one person can be so well read, and keep up with current events, write, shoot...and still have time to eat. Conversations with him are always super-condensed in both content and entertainment value. We need more of him to help change the world. Commence cloning now.

A force, an instigator, a catalyst. A friend, a colleague, a kindred spirit. A bright light, a star, a trailblazer. A person who inspires all, where others fail. A person I have time for morning, noon and night. A man I am honoured to call my mate.
I am dying, and my work is all before me:

I had the pleasure of being summoned from my house by the pied pipings of the neighborhood marching band, the Brass Liberation Orchestra. Gotta love an anarchist brass band - the very concept is a hoot! And unlike some places, playing and marching are not arrestable offenses in the city by the Bay.
