Airika is at the heart of the best trance community in the world - maybe she IS the heart of the LA trance community. I noticed her at my first LA party, a $2 Tuesday at Sugar, and when I think of what I miss about LA one of the first things is her smiling face, her sincere love and her dedication.

The LA trance community is a special one - I've lived in Goa, Hadrin, SF and Brighton, all of which have large trance scenes, obviously... but LA is different. No cynicism, no elitism, just love and acceptance and dancers who hit their stride 12 hours into the party and go on as long as the music is banging. Airika is at the front - when she's not working the door or directing the parking or taking care of any of the other things that need tending for a party to be a success.

I love you, Airika - I'm looking forward to seeing you on the dance floor again.

I've always loved this girl, and I think I always will. Sorry we couldn't catch up before I had to leave town again. Here's to making it all the way from young'n to Old Skool in one piece!

The Kernal runs a tight ship...and we love it. A powerhouse of 'getting her done', she gives orders and makes it happen...and if you don't respond then you better look out, cuz she's saying it for a reason. This amazing woman gives her heart and soul to bettering our community and it's a privilege and a pleasure to know her.
