A truly interesting individual if you're the kind of person taken to eclectic interests.

I'm still traumatized by the idea raccoon tail implements. Good to see you and glad to hear that you are doing well. Apparently my voodoo doll was a complete rip off!

Ya I know her too, I've even used my hands for tools of torture or releif on her bum. She intimidates me and turns me on by her brains. I've loved and hated her.

Word of the Day: a-nath-e-ma: One that is cursed or damned.

First I respected her. Recognized her for the high powered woman she is professionally. Then I met her. Bonus! She was even more articulate and interesting in person. Scifi, etymology, and stories of nobility. But luckiest of all, she's a willing partner in crime, especially the nonconsensual exfoliation of cute boys. Makes them feel not so ganged up on somehow when there are two of them. Someday I aspire to see her in her native environment and have some of the cat fur cookies, until then all we can all do is dream. ;)

Dic mihi solum facta, domina

about me
Just your basic aging Burning- Man- going, snowboarding, book-loving, over- educated, slightly pretentious occasionally multiamorous tattoed pierced pseudo- intellectual yuppie scum.

I do not accept friend requests from people I have not met in person or have not established some rapport with in groups. Please don't bug me just because you like having pictures of cute girls on your Tribe card.

Ita erat quando hic adveni.

Like 4am panic attack lonely. I almost got up to see who was online, but i just couldn't. This project has to end. It has to. I can't keep doing this. The three key team members burst into tears in my boss's office last night, and then went to a bar. It's like that.

So, sorry to spam you all about needing an art person but really, if one great person comes through, it could help fix everything.

I do not have time to fall apart. My work is out of control, we're not going to hit our deadline, and I can't fix it. I am terrified of losing my job, I feel like shit, I can't sleep, my house is a mess . . . and . . . and . . .

And I apparently I'm being an asshole without even meaning to. I have a really bad tendency of getting over enthusiastic and acting on an adrenaline high, and then realizing I've acted like a big fat idiot. I have sent a somewhat incoherent message apologizing for ... read more

Reposted from my mom's refrigerator. Take that, Pascal!

Choose to live your life as though there were no God, and that your only opportunity to do good is to live a kind, compassionate life doing right by others. If there is, in fact, no God, you will have lived a good life and be remembered kindly by those you helped. If there is a benevolent God, he will judge you on your actions, not on whether you performed specific rituals. And if God is not benevolent, you're pretty much screwed no m... read more

And yes, Joan Collins is my personal icon of cougarificness. She's in her late 70s and, well, I think she's kinda awesome. In a scary, over-surgiically-altered kinda way. But still. I've always said I wanted to be a cougar when I grow up, and I guess technically I'm there--the cougarage, not the growing up, necessarily.

So, I keep joking that I'm going to get thrown off the COGs and Cougars tribe for disagreeing with the party line. In all actuality, the folks I'm bickering with are the sa... read more

As you may have read, Terry Pratchett is suffering from a rare form of early-onset Alzheimers. Pat Cadigan has started a campaign to get 500,000 Terry Pratchett fans to donate £1 each to Alzheimer's research, matching the funds put up by Pratchett himself--she calls the campaign "Match it for Pratchett!"

All lovers of Discworld (or Good Omens. Or sci-fi silliness in general) should climb on board. As boingboing notes, it's a pound. That's about 2 bucks US dollars, give or take a couple of ... read more

Diabolus fecit, ut id facerem!

illustrator genius desperately needed (in Illustrator) I'm typing this from my phone, so I'll keep it short. My company needs an illustrator whiz to come in house (in San francisco) for a few weeks to help us rock out a major project. Re: ripping dvds for iphone (in iPhone) I keep having problems, so I'd love to hear any hint. I have upgraded to 10.5, and have the latest HandBrake. The first I ripped, no problem. Gave me a false sense of security! The second made an mp4 that played on my laptop no problem with QuickR... read more
