your words kiss the crests of my thoughts
and bring life to them, bring hope to them, break them from their icy, frozen darknesses and release their power let them roar like the waves of the ocean that are yet still unborn, the mighty potential that the ocean swells contain, the hope, life and strength that is found in the ocean waves, your words release. YOU R CK!!! March 18, 2008
Awesome wild and rockin'
Andrea will catch you in the NOW and freeze in your in highest glory. The question is did she do it through her lenses or with the gleam in her eye? Is there a difference? February 4, 2008
wow, girl. i mean: wow.
i think of you in my life & i feel proud. you have taught me so much about communication and, more importantly, about my own communication. we are two such different people, yet you have consistently met me half-way. through you, i have been able to discover some of my own fundamental stumbling blocks. i am inspired by your dedication to reaching your goals. i love the sparkle in your eyes when you talk about helping children in hospitals. i am amazed by your photography. through some of your photos i've come to see new aspects of people and moments in time. when i think of you in my world, i am most grateful for your commitment to balance. this girl shines and shines and shines!
and after your eyes have started to recover, and your mind begins to make sense of what you just saw, the warm sense that you have just met someone important and special comes wafting on in to your awareness

"We who lived in concentration camps can remember the men who walked through the huts comforting others, giving away their last piece of bread. They may have been few in number, but they offer sufficient proof that everything can be taken from a man but one thing: the last of the human freedoms -- to choose one's attitude in any given set of circumstances, to choose one's own way."

my fabulous housemate, kelly, left me for a man. the nerve. luckily, i love this man and i love her *with* this man, which means i am in full support of their moving in together (yay love!), but that puts me out one housemate that needs to be replaced by the end of august. know anyone looking to share a huge, beautiful flat in the richmond district?

oh, wait, it *is* my dream! I PASSED MY NURSING BOARDS!!! yes, after being entirely convinced for the last four days that i had failed my exam and was going to lose my dream job (oooh, the ugliness of the fatalistic downward spiral), i found out this morning that i had in fact PASSED and am officially an RN. yeah! i still don't quite believe it and i keep going back to the board of registered nursing website to verify that my name is stil... read more
** a moment of procrastination for this PSA: do NOT attempt to make fudge with the untoward effect of excessive milk flow from your breasts if you happen to be taking Haldol. **

i'm convinced that the only reason why i am maintaining my sanity through these 10 hour study days is because of the fact that i keep coming across practice questions with ridiculous answers, like the one in the photo i took above. i can't help but laugh at the absurdity sometimes. =) "why, yes, your breasts... read more
at 6:30 a.m. today, as i was on my morning run, i found myself asking the question "what the hell is wrong with the world", and it left me feeling really unsettled.

recap: birds are chirping, men in business suits are drinking their coffee on their commute to work, produce is being unpacked from trucks along geary street, and i'm listening to my ipod and enjoying the feel of my feet tackling the pavement as i watch the world wake up around me. in my view just ahead of me is a young m... read more
