I am forever feeling thankful that Angie is teaching at the studio! I have seen several students move through my classes pleasantly and then really find themselves in hers. It is like watching the world finally allign!
I learn so much from Angie as a person, a dancer and a teacher. I really appreciate her letting me just come in and be a student for a while... and letting me be human and grumpy! Her classes are super challenging and fun! Her troupe- Sacred Shimmy has really evolved into a great asset to other people's shows. Live musicians and hottie dancers are a great mix! She's always taking me to dance or hang out in fabulous places where I see amazing things. Monkey Bikes. Mexican tatoo conventions. Fabulous food... gah! I'd expect nothing less. So if you are around...... drop in and take her class. If she invites you somewhere... knock your grandma over to go! She is soooo ~~p~~ April 6, 2006
Angie rocks! I liked her the minute I met her. You have to love anyone who moves to a new town specifically to study belly dance. :) To all of her Ohio friends, we'll treat her well, I promise!

Re: Cycle question for the women
(in India)
in india my cycle rocketed from a reliable once-every-26-days to a very frequent once-every-two-weeks-or-so.

Re: Turkish Saz Vocabulary
(in All That Saz)
i wasn't wondering so much about playing this particular song as i was wondering if you use the thumb that way.
thanks for the answer ... so much to learn! discussion post on Fri, May 2, 2008 - 11:02 AM
Re: Turkish Saz Vocabulary
(in All That Saz)
in this video, when he bends his thumb around on that last night, is he actually using his thumb to hold the string down, or just playing it open.
i am starting to think i will have to learn turkish just to help with my saz studies. :) discussion post on Fri, May 2, 2008 - 7:50 AM

Re: opinion on books
(in All That Saz)
these responses have been really helpful.
i'm happy not to have spent $50 on books that are kind of junky. that turkuler site is amazing! i think i could probably spend the rest of my life trying to play just the songs on there. thanks! discussion post on Wed, April 23, 2008 - 11:58 AM
