Taffeta fabric is a crisp, smooth lustrous fabric with a slight sheen made of various fibers, such as silk, rayon, or nylon, supposed to have originated in Persia. The name, derived from Persian, means "twisted woven." Taffeta is in the same class and demand as satin made of silk. It is considered to be a "high end" fabric, suitable for use in ball gowns, wedding dresses, and in interiors for curtains or wallcovering. Taffeta was also used to make medieval Noble Ladies dresses.

New Taffeta Colors: Black, Plum, Turquoise, Midnight Blue, Burgundy Wine, Lemon Lime, Ruby Sapphire.

Beautiful, shimmery dancing Isis Wings express movement, beauty, grace and passion in the soul. They can be used for dancing, performance art, belly dancing, ceremonies, self-expression, daytime festivals, in nature, at the beach, atop a mountain, Halloween costumes, Christmas parties, theme parties, and any costume-themed event. They sparkle iridescent in lights, especially stage lights, camera flash lights, and sunrises/sunsets. The Wings can be worn down your back when you are not dancing with them, which will give the look of wearing a celestial cape. These Isis Wings are made from crystal silk organza fabric. Pleating gives them a shimmery, feathery appearance. Clear lucite wands inside the Wings give you control and let you fly! They are very easy to use, and very rewarding in many ways :)

Single Tone Wings: White, Gold, Red, Pink, Aqua, Bronze Gold, Purple Crinkle, Sun Yellow, Indigo Blue, Coral Pink Crystal, Lavender Stripe, Pink Stripe, White Stripe.

Two Tone Iridescent Wings: Fuschia Red, Red Green.
Two tone wings create a dazzling color changing effect with movement.

Two Tone Taffeta Wings: Fuschia/Gold, Purple/Gold, Green/Gold.
Taffeta is a heavier opaque fabric which creates a stunning effect with two tone colors in stage and camera lights.

    </a>
										<div>Traveled to Liberia for 4 days, and then to Montezuma for 5 days.
Highlights include ziplining through the forest, rappeling upside down into the canyon,
tubing down the river, horseback riding, volcanic mud spa and hot springs. Boating to
Tortuga Island and snorkeling in the crystal clear water, jumping into a waterfall with
chilly clear water, driving a quad around all day to the beach at Mal Pais and on the dirt
roads to the neighboring small towns, and chillin' in the hammock and enjoying the sun.

Time goes so slowly there, so if you ever need a vacation to get away and relax, go to
Costa Rica, it's only a 5 hour flight from LAX.

    </a>
										<div>I'm finally free of wearing contact lenses and glasses! I have been wearing them since I was 13 years old.

One week ago, I had PRK Laser eye surgery and I am so thrilled with the results! I was able to see as soon as
I got up from the chair in the surgery room! My brother also had PRK done about six months ago and he is happy
with it. Although, for a few days afterwards I experienced vision fluctuations, high sensitivity to light, blurriness
and scratchiness, which are all part of the recovery period.

PRK is different from LASIK in that PRK (Photorefractive Keratectomy) the corneal epithelium (outer layer of cornea)
is removed and then the laser reshapes the cornea. A bandage contact lens is inserted and the epithelium grows back
over 3-4 days and vision improves once it's healed. With LASIK, a protective flap of corneal tissue is created, and then the
laser reshapes the cornea. Then, the corneal flap is replaced and does not disrupt the front surface of the cornea and is less
painful and has a quicker recovery period. PRK has a longer recovery period, and the risk of pain, infection, and corneal
scarring is higher, however, the risks of a flap complication is lessened with PRK because no corneal flap is created.

My daily life is significantly changed and I am so excited! What a great way to start the new year!!

I can't wait to dance and celebrate with all of you!

    </a>
										<div>above photography by JEEP (http://gpmalone.com)

&amp;lt;from Paulo Coelho's warriorofthelight.com>

Everything moves. And everything moves to a rhythm. And everything that moves produces a sound; that is happening here and all over the world at this very moment. Our ancestors noticed the same thing when they tried to escape from the cold in their caves: things moved and made noise.

The first human beings perhaps looked on this with awe, and then with devotion: they understood that this was the way that a Superior Being communicated with them. They began to imitate the noises and movements around them, hoping to communicate with this Being: and dancing and music were born.

When we dance, we are free.

To put it better, our spirit can travel through the universe, while our body follows a rhythm that is not part of the routine. In this way, we can laugh at our sufferings large or small, and deliver ourselves to a new experience without any fear. While prayer and meditation take us to the sacred through silence and inner pondering, in dance we celebrate with others a kind of collective trance.

They can write whatever they want about dancing, but it is no use: you have to dance to find out what they are talking about. Dance to the point of exhaustion, like mountain-climbers scaling some sacred peak. Dance until, out of breath, our organism can receive oxygen in a way that it is not used to, and this ends up making us lose our identity, our relation with space and time.

Of course we can dance alone, if that helps us to get over our shyness. But whenever possible, it is better to dance in a group, because one stimulates the other and this ends up creating a magic space where all are connected in the same energy.

To dance, it is not necessary to learn in some school; just let our body teach us – because we have danced since the darkest times, and we never forget that. When I was an adolescent I envied the great “ballerinos” among the kids on the block, and pretended I had other things to do at parties – like having a conversation. But in fact I was terrified of looking ridiculous, and because of that I would not risk a single step. Until one day a girl called Marcia called out to me in front of everybody:

“Come on!”

I said I did not like to dance, but she insisted. Everyone in the group was looking, and because I was in love (love is capable of so many things!), I could refuse no further. I was ridiculous, I did not know how to follow the steps, but Marcia did not stop; she went on dancing as if I were a Rudolf Nureyev.

“Forget the others and pay attention to the bass,” she whispered in my ear. “Try to follow its rhythm.”

At that moment I understood that we do not always have to learn the most important things; they are already part of our nature. In youth, dancing is a fundamental rite of passage: for the very first time we feel a state of grace, a deep ecstasy, even if for the less tuned-in it is all just a bunch of boys and girls enjoying themselves at a party.

When we become adults, and when we grow old, we need to go on dancing. The rhythm changes, but music is part of life, and dancing is the consequence of letting this rhythm come inside us.

I still dance whenever I can. With dancing, the spiritual world and the real world manage to co-exist without any conflicts. As somebody once said, the classic ballerinas are always on tiptoe because they are at the same time touching the earth and reaching the sky.

Flight-themed drinks and heavy appetizers will be served, followed by a night of surprises, dancing and special musical entertainment. But that's not all! Shuttles will be provided to the best bars and nightclubs in the downtown Gaslamp District starting at 11pm.

    </a>
										<div>Ahh, Burning Man. My 3rd year. Saw 3 sunrises. Did 3 performances. 3 is a good number, and 9 is my all time favorite number.

Had a new camera this year, so I enjoyed taking photographs and renewing my love for photography. Made good connections with my girlfriends, and had fun partying and dome hopping with my brother 3 nights in a row! yeah!

Highlights: Dancing with my girlfriends all night while watching the lunar eclipse. The RLD party, stage, and music. Entheon Village music and art. Riding my bike around the playa viewing amazing art. Having wonderful roommates to share a space with. Seeing a double rainbow. Riding an art car with my brother at sunrise. Re-connecting with Lynnsane. Belly dancing at Renfey's wed night party with fire staff balanced on my head (wish I had a photo of it).

Went to Tahoe for after Burn chillout by the lake. Relaxing, sleeping, eating, and hot tubbing was perfect after a week in the hot, dusty desert.

Here is my web photo gallery that I made with Photoshop:

Fire Fingers update:

I have added rhinestones to the fire fingers for easily determining which finger it fits (Pink=Pinky finger, Red=Ring finger). This works well for me during a performance when I have to put them on quickly. No more guessing which finger it fits. I have added pictures of the fingers with fire, a video, a dip can, as well as brand new Double Wick Fire Fingers!

    </a>
										<div>If you're not already going, then what can I say, except that you should be going
to the best full moon beach festival in Mexico this weekend with the most fabulous
people!

I'll be performing with a new fire tool in the Paradise Lounge on sat night around 10pm.

Here's the details:

June 1-3, 2007

DJs, fire performances, a cantina and our OWN PRIVATE MEXICAN BEACH!

For complete details and ticket sales visit:
http://www.almaparadiso.com

We have now completed the plans for Alma Paradiso along with the final DJ/performance line-up coming up on the weekend of June 1-3. We have done all the work so you don't have to. If you didn't attend last year, you are for a real treat. There is a full bar and restaurant on the beach that makes the best margaritas and everything is very cheap. Activities such as surfing, beach volleyball, horseback riding and anything else that you can think of is possible there. So just put some gas in your car, grab your tent and sleeping bag and you are good to go. There are shops and restaurants with in five miles form the beach.

This year, we are focusing more on performers, therefore, we have plans to set-up a very cozy lounge on the beach, similar to Choku Rei at Fuente Eterno. This lounge is called Paradise Lounge and will have a comfortable environment to chill and watch live performances from musicians, singers, guitarists, downtempo Djs as well as three teams of belly dancers and fire performances.

WELCOME TO ALMA PARADISO :: June 1-3, 2007 La Salina
Beach, Baja Mexico
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Capacity: 450_Unfortunately, we cannot increase the capacity as to keep the core family intact and make the experience as meaningful as possible.
As you know, these events sell out fast. Due to the overwhelming response and positive feedback, we are expecting more interests this year. Therefore, BELEIVE US when we say to get your tickets now.

Entertainment:
The main stage will fire up the sounds on Friday and Saturday night from 8pm to 4am. There will be a full stage along with a dance floor constructed on the beach right infront of the waves. This main stage will serve mainly for DJs and fire performances.

Paradise Lounge:
We are also building an exotic venue for acoustic alchemy sets during the day and after hours (2am-8am) with chillout, lounge, and sunrise sets with many live performances, world music, belly dancing and down tempo DJ sets. From Organic Music, Art and Yoga in the morning to an Electronic, Cosmic Meditation throughout the night. From the sand between your toes to your head in the Cosmos, paradise lounge will be there when needed. :

Alma Paradiso is located in La Salina Beach just 40 miles south of San Diego. It should only take about an hour from San Diego.
La Salina Beach lies approximately half way between the U.S.- Mexican border and Ensenada.
La Salina's biggest claim to fame is its wide beautiful beach. From Tijuana to Ensenada and all along Baja's "Gold Coast" you won't find a wider beach, with the possible exception of Rosarito Beach.</div>

    </a>
										<div>I hurt my lower back last weekend badly. I went to Freedom Fest to perform with Unifier
on sat night and thought, oh, it's only for one night I won't take my thermarest mattress and
slept in my sleeping bag in the back of my suv.

well, I slept on a hard spot and woke up stiff and sore. I thought it would go away,
but, no, it has rendered me almost immobile. This is probably the worst back pain
I've ever had. Cannot go to work, cannot exercise, and am really bummed because
I won't be able to dance at Synergy this weekend.

I had acupuncture done yesterday and got a massage, but it is still not much better
today. wtf?! I could use some painkillers, cause these muscle relaxers I have just
make me sleepy and don't do anything for the pain.

:sigh:</div>
