about me
I have been dancing seriously for about nine years taking various dance styles. In my hometown I started the one and only Christian Dance troupe on Southern University and A&M College called The Centras as well as rekindled the Zion's Angels at Mount Zion First Baptist Church. Currently, I have developed my own Dance Style using what I have learned from the classes I have taken. It is not a new form (as in a totally new dance form like ballet or jazz), I would rate it with styles such as Hoop, Stilts, firedancing, and the like who just put a new twist on what is already out there. So I have developed the Living Sermon which is dance that teaches. The Living Sermon was first introduced in March of 2007 and it has had great responses. I am hoping to widen the scope of this God Given Style to the rest of the world!
More than just the fact that I will be debuting non-biblical Living Sermons not once...but twice this month ... I have also had a dream door opened to me by God...
I am in the process of becoming a Liturgical Dance Contract Instructor at a community center near my house! To actually be on a more professional level teaching a style that i've been teaching off and on for around 6 years is totally overwhelming! Its the first time i've ever done anything outside of my comfort zones (meaning th...

The two years that I've been away from Tribe I've taken a step back from dance and let God do with it what he wanted. It was a wonderful choice! In the midst of that, God gave me a new vision, something totally different and I had to take it and run with it. The Living Sermon was born! Now six months after its debut, I have taken the time to polish, and solidify the concept and Im back and ready to rock with it! Though it stems from Christian Praise and i use it to minister, I also use it out...

Lately I've been lost in a lot of thought and my conclusions so far... is to leave my dancing behind. I've been weighing my options and looking at what i have VS other dancers. Unfortunatly, all i seem to have are ideas without the experience it takes to make those ideas worth anything, and Im too old to get started getting the experience. I used to think i could, but it is only getting harder. I dont know what else to do...some dreams are not meant to be reached...
I've just always loved ...

My first debut was on September 18th and it was a success! It was a very magnificent venue full of very frendly and responsive people.
As for Iridescent Dance, people were open to the new idea.
the dance i performed was Blue Rain and the synopsis i gave for it was this: This dance personified the color Blue in one of its most common symbolic meanings: Water. Throughout the dance you are shown the vaious movements that water can have in rain, tidal waves and simple droplets into a puddle...

There has been a lot going on in my life lately. I met a wonderful poet who hosts a big reading down in Addison Texas and through God's will he opened up a huge door for me. You see, last night I went to the poetry reading to meet him in person. It was a SLAM competion that he and mom persuaded me to be a part of. Way out of my league i went to the mic and spoke. To my surprise, I made it in the top three in the first round. THEN in the second round (only the top three went) I came out SECOND...
