Tahitian dance events i'm workin' on!
New session Tahitian Ori (dance) begins September 4th at 6pm!
It was a really wonderful summer. The performance troupe worked their hind ends off for months; we raised $$, made costumes, and rehearsed OVER AND OVER in preparation for the Virginia Beach Polynesian Fest. It was really our first travel experience as a group, and we had a wonderful time. We were one of the few dance troupes to bring musicians, and our musicians ROCKED the house. As soon as I'm able, I'll put some video up on my MySpace site to share with everyone.I just wanted to let you know (and hopefully encourage you to spread the word) that we're beginning a new season on September 4th. The Ori class at McGuffey is really on-going, but this is a great time for new students to start. We'll be working on new (to everyone) choreographies and focusing more on technique basics. If you've felt any inclination to take my Tahitian class, now is a great time.
Also, if you're into drumming, Chip is going to begin a drum class soon... Check in with Mr. Staples about that if you're interested.
sending aloha!

Journey down the Silk Roads....
First mention how FABULOUS this event was. Thanks to Saahira for the obvious work and effort she put into this event. It was a lot of fun, very informational, and a great opportunity to dance with some beautiful women. I highly recommend you attend the next one! Thanks too for letting me present a short class on Ori Tahiti. That was a lot of fun to teach to such skilled and graceful dancers. I can't wait for the next one!
