about me
Some know me as Jessica, some as Cassandra. Regardless, it is best to be cautious around harpies.
My philosophy on life: The sole purpose of life is the experience of living. I am a student of life. Nothing more. I am flawed and filled with icky inconsistencies. Anais Nin once said "Perfection is static." I want nothing of perfection. I want to live, learn and grow. Give me honest people who are honest with themselves, even about their flaws and little idiosyncratic ways, and we shall wallow together in the beautiful stickyness that is human nature. I'm also on myspace: www.myspace.com/anjouleme www.myspace.com/aellossister (my musical fits and tantrums)

Love comes easy ‘neath the dogwoods.
So we went and saw "Forbidden Kingdom" yesterday. It's the movie with Jackie Chan and Jet Li, both incredible talents in their field. Their fluidity and flexibility is absolutely amazing to me. There is a fight scene between the two of them that had me grinning from ear to ear the entire time. The choreography was fabulous and though the fight lasted a good long while, I just didn't want it to end. I really enjoyed watching every movement and counter-movement. Towards the end of the fig...

- - - - - - - - - - - - - Under the Mango Tree by Mayadhar Mansingh Under the mango tree during that tryst, When the bangle-bedecked arms of the sweet one Entwined round my neck, and Pressed me to her bosom in balmy embraces, The very moonlit night appeared cheered up With the touch of the zephyr that blew soft, And while a wild bird on the wing was piping a melodious note. The very earth looked mystic... read more
