Kentucky Jones---What a Relief

So, some of you may not know, but I'm playing the lead love interest for the play... Kentucky Jones and the Carpet of Doom. We opened last night, and I was really worried. Okay, I'm usually very nervous before EVERY show, but I seriously wasn't sure how the show as a whole would be received, and ....WOW. What a GREAT audience, and what a FUN show. They laughed at all the right parts, and then other parts completely unexpected. We got a standing ovation, which was SO AWESOME. I'm pretty exhausted today, but eh...it'll make tonights show that much more exciting. Unlike last night, I think I'll eat before tonights show so that I don't lose steam at the end. I'm so happy, I have the day off tomorrow, so I can go out post show, and have a beer with the peops. I just hope tonight is as enthusiastic of an audience, and that I can get a nap before the show.

Thanks for those of you who came out last night... I feel the love!!!

Friday 5/16 B-Day Party for ME

Hey party peoples, I'm throwing myself a Birthday Party...And why NOT???
I love my birthday, and what is better than having good friends around to help celebrate?

Please PM me if you have not heard of said event, this Friday (5/16...my actual Birthday), and would like to attend. I'll give you more information from there.

Festivities will start at 7:30PM-ish and go until people leave or pass out. You are welcome to bring bedding if you think you may drink a lot and may need to crash...you are more than welcome to pull up a couch, air mattress or space on the floor.

I have ordered 7.75 gallons of Red Hook ESB, and some pizza may be ordered too. If you don't drink alcohol, or don't like that kind of beer (weird =-0), feel free to bring what you like ;-D.

Also, as many of you know, I love music (shock & awe) so bring an instrument... just in case the ultimate jam breaks out. And if you have a good CD Collection, feel free to bring some CD's (as my collection is very limited--you may want to label your music since there may be quite a few people there). Funny, I honestly have NO IDEA how many people are going to be there.

Okay, I hope I'm not forgetting anything. Please let me know if you have any questions!!!

I think that's it....

Cow Palace Saved for Now After Bill Fails in State Senate

Well, that's what KRON 4 posted...

DALY CITY, Calif. (AP) - The Cow Palace will remain standing for
now.

Plans to demolish the a 67-year-old arena that once hosted The
Beatles and the 1964 Republican Convention are on hold after the
state Senate declined to act on legislation to raze the building.

Daly City wants to buy part of the state-owned land so that it
can be redeveloped into a site for an elementary school, market,
homes and businesses.

A bill by state Sen. Leland Yee seeks to declare the Cow Palace
surplus property, which would allow Daly City to negotiate directly
with the state over its price.

The arena's proponents say more than half a million people a
year attend stock shows, rodeos and concerts there.

Yee says he plans to talk to the parties involved, then bring
the bill back to committee

After much hassle (and I MEAN unbelievable amounts of HASSLE) we finally made it home from Germany, via London and eventually Canada, last night around 12:00ish. All in all it was such a wonderful trip. Every town we went to I was inclined to stay and live there, especially Rothenburgh. The scenery:beautiful, the food: yummy, the beer: light, but good. I was very happy to finally have a dark beer in, aw crap, where were we...Salzburg, Austria, I think. Yeah, I had Guinniss at the Shamrock, an Irish pub in town. I also got myself a durndle at a second hand store. At Oktoberfest there we so many traditional clothed Germans. The leiderhosen were super hot. Every guy should have his own lederhosen. I have so many stories, but alas, not enough patience to write it all out here and now. I just wanted to let you know we're back. Oh, and I still don't have a phone. I have one activated, but have managed to lose the charger...sorry. Soon...yes soon. I'll post a blog again once I have a phone in my use.

I am very sad, but mostly really pissed off at myself. I left it on the bus (21 Hayes) yesterday on my way to work. I got so involved in this book I'm reading that I missed my stop, hurried off the bus only to realize, a block away, that my mandolin was still in the last seat of the bus. I immediately called MUNI lost and found when I got to work and reported it. I have been calling them incessantly to be sure it's still not turned in. I feel horribly, and now I'm realizing that I can't rehears for the Tom Waits Tribute show tomorrow without it.

When will I learn? I just got distracted...I usually check my seat before leaving the bus, but that stupid book distracted me. I think I'd like to blame someone else for my stupidity this time...I think I'll blame the person who told me to read the book. Yeah...you suck Beef...now I feel better.

Crap...that only lasted a second. Back to reality. It still remains that I have no instrument to practice with tomorrow. Anyone have a mandolin I can borrow?

Thank you for reading and for all comforting thoughts thus far.

http://www.primitivescrewheads.com/2006/currentshows.htm

The Primitive Screwheads, along with their friends Tossing Alice, present “The Crazy Go Nuts Show;” a late night comedy variety program that hearkens back to the glory days of The Donnie and Marie Show and Creature Features.

The Show features a variety of outrageous sketches, music, improv, and the Stand-up Comedy Contest: Driest Comic Standing, in which local comedians perform their routines and audiences get a chance to soak the contestant they dislike. Think Gong Show…only with water.

In addition, a sneak peek performance of the Screwheads’ brand new blood splatter show “H 3-D: The True Tale of The Haddonfield Babysitter Murderer,” a parody based on the horror classic Halloween, will be performed.

I will also be performing in the "H 3-D" Show...coming up in march...stay tuned.

I got my new phone yesterday and it is now programmed and ready to receive your calls. Okay, well, I have limited daytime calling (unless you are calling from another Verizon phone) but free weekend and evening minutes (after 9:01 PM-6:30 Am). I have it set to vibrate (oh yeah) and may not answer it while at work. If I miss your call at least I'll have your number. I have the same number as I had before I lost my phone...so, if you know it...call it. If you don't know it and want to, send me a message and I'll think about it. Saweeet.

I lost my phone and I am looking for a new one. I will probably end up buying one, but until I get my new phone...don't bother calling...or you already have and realize that something is wrong. I'm okay. My phone is just temporarily disconnected. There is always my work phone.

Also, I don't have internet connection at home and my computer sucks (Compact Presario, Windows 98...ouch). If you e-mail me I can only check it during the week at work, so my access is very limited. Sorry if I don't send you a lengthy message or anything at all. Until I get my sh*t together I'm rather out of touch. But know that I love you and I am doing fine.
