Michael Phelps

I am absolutely blown away and so inspired by this athlete's performance. Do you have any
idea what he is doing? To break records is one thing - but to smash them by 1 and 2 seconds in
swimming is absolutely ridiculous.

I was a major swimmer growing up - Summers were up at 6am, in the water by 7am, break, back in
at 2pm, home at 5pm to devour as much food as possible. School days were up at 5am, in the water
at 6am, in class at 7:45am, back in the water at 3pm to be home by 6pm to devour every single thing
in my sight. I ate enough for 5 grown men. I chose an art school in NYC over a partial swimming scholarship
to Florida State - had I kept going with it at the age of 17 there is a chance I may have finished last
in the Olympic trials of the 200 Backstroke and the 200 Freestyle. I left the water after one too many
emotionally draining coaches, and my body had changed (fat?!?! what is this stuff? boobs? huh, what
are these things? I took 2 weeks off for tendonitis at the age of 16 and my body took it as an opportunity
to catch up on actually being a girl. Until then I had looked very much like a 10 year old boy my
entire life.) I have been
nationally ranked a couple of times. That's the fastest 14 in the country. I swam in the senior
boys lane from the age of 12. DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA HOW HARD I HAD TO WORK TO SHAVE
.05 SECONDS FROM A TIME?!?!! point zero five! Five one hundredths! Swimming is about the split second, just as in any
other timed sport where you are not only trying to beat the athlete next to you, but also the clock. I would
win races and be super pissed off because my time was either the same or a tenth of a second slower
than my last time. It meant I was slipping.

This man is super human, he is absolutely remarkable. I have always been inspired by athletes - but Mr. Phelps
has done something more. He has made me miss swimming more than I ever have - I can feel the chlorine in
my eyes, I can taste the salty water, I can feel myself streamlining off a turn and six beat kicking my way
through the water.

Michael, Bless you. I'm goin' back in. Not saying I'm going to be Darra Torres or anything (how amazing is she
for christ's sake?!!? 41 years old and kicking that much ass in the pool. Unreal.) But I am going back in.

Since being introduced to this site I have wanted to be a part of
it...so I just opened my account and took a bunch of pictures...
tomorrow is my day off and I will be going live with some
work to sell on etsy...woop woop:)

I have to stay motivated, and knowing that I posted this will
make sure that I finish the job! Procrastination is my
middle name. This has only been on my mind for like 9 months or so!

Building Racism

A major construction company giant operating with
extreme racism and horrifying treatment of carpenters -
trying to divide two minorities in order to keep them weak and
submissive and scared, actually only back fired - with Latino and
African American forces joining together to kick ass. Major
Hollywood movie starring George Clooney as the "he might
be Latino" underdog lawyer? Nope...reality, here, right now -

amazing - sickening - and truly frightening...are we really

Reading the other morning of how the combined cost of Afghanistan and
Iraq will top $3 TRILLION put me in the lowest mood. No matter who we vote
for, the chance of us leaving either country alone won't be a consideration for
a long time.

America was such a great idea on paper, but when I look at the white house, all
I see is a tyrant's castle - a ruler's palace. Did you know the royal fam...I mean the
first family can order anything they want from the kitchen at any time? That should
say everything right there.

Overall, I was happy with everything except
the vocal pa, which was balls, but whatever...it was
still a blast...the guys sounded great :)

I really can't say it enough, you warmed my
heart and soul by being there and I hope you enjoyed it.
From now on I'm bringing my own equipment!!! Sounds
soooooooo much better through my own gear.

i yam's all growd up

well, sometimes you just gotta do what you
just gotta do...

i have finally taken the financial responsibility of clearing
up some outstanding student loans and man do i feel good...my credit will be clear in 9 months so i can finally get a credit card and a loan. i'm feeling pretty good. sucks that i'll have very little money for the next 2 months, but its worth it. Recently someone stole $160 from me, that sucked, ashame for him i cast a spell on his business to disintegrate beyond repair within 2 years, although i probably didn't need to do that, he was going there himself.

i cannot wait to be in a position to not worry so much about finances and to accomplish everything i have in my heart to accomplish. i know this was a gigantic step in that direction. STAY INDEPENDENT! ~_~ yippeeee!
